Dalian is one of my favorite cities in China. This city is very walkable and has so much to offer. Fisherman pier is one of the most popular locations in Dalian. All the three times I came to Fisherman's Wharf, I came here in spring, summer and autumn. The first time I came here, it was summer. At that time, the sky was very clear and seemed bigger. At 5 o'clock in the afternoon, the sun was still shining bright and high in the sky. The second time I came here, during a rainy, gloomy weather with a moist and sticky feeling of summer. The third time, this time, the autumn is very obvious here, the evening with looks like has lost color, and there is a little grayish look. The Fisherman's Wharf has parked a lot of metal boats, and these boats usually go out in the early hours of the morning and stop here in the evening. The Fisherman's Wharf is a fun and enjoyable place, surrounded by subway repairs, and has blocked many roads, but still can't resist people's enthusiasm. One can listen to the sea breeze on the reef, while watching the clear sky.

Dalian Fisherman's Wharf.  One afternoon, I took a car to the place that I had always admired in pictures. The midday sun shone brightly, so we walked under an umbrella. We watched the passengers move from south to the north, their voices being carried away by the sea breeze. I probably sat this way for two hours, during which, the evening settled in.  I had a great time taking pictures and was eager to embrace the sea. There were many seagulls flying around the sea, calling out to one another. Since there weren’t many tourists around, nobody would have been too bothered by my taking pictures. I went to Lotus Hall to watch the sun set. I was a bit rushed when I went there, so I do have some regrets. So, Dalian, we will see you in a few months. 

The wind in Dalian is still so big. Dalian Lijiabao Bay is located at the southernmost tip of Dalian, a poetic seaside natural ecological area on the Yellow Sea, named after the land connected to the sea resembling a water chestnut. The ecological environment and natural scenery are quite impressive. Because this spot is not very well-known to many people and the transportation is not very convenient, it can be considered a niche attraction. Perhaps due to the fewer tourists, the ecology here can be considered one of the best in Dalian. At Dalian Lijiabao Bay, you can gaze at the stunning and European-American style Fisherman's Wharf, making one mistakenly think they are in a European or American seaside art village. Tiger Beach is the southernmost seaside park in Dalian, featuring a characteristic scenic area built with European-style architecture, with Lijiabao Bay to the south. In Lijiabao Bay, you can see scenery reminiscent of seaside towns in Europe and America, which is quite interesting. Compared to other scenic areas in Dalian, Lijiabao Bay is not in a particularly good location and public transportation is not very convenient. You either have to take a taxi or walk a few kilometers after taking the subway to get there, so most people give up on this spot. In fact, there are many points of interest, and the view is also very impressive. 1. Highlights of the scenic area: The towering peaks on land plunge deep into the Yellow Sea like giant water chestnuts, which is quite spectacular! At the foot of the mountains, you can enjoy a variety of pristine island scenery. Lijiabao Bay is a pure natural landscape, not managed as a fee-charging scenic area. Besides the inconvenient transportation, there are no other faults to be found. The original ecological fishing village scenery contrasts with the European-American style Fisherman's Wharf in the background, creating a striking beauty. You can also fish with the local elders and experience the joy of fishing in the open sea. 2. Best travel season: When visiting Dalian Lijiabao Bay, be sure to choose good weather. Generally speaking, autumn is the best season to visit, with the sea breeze being neither cold nor hot and the weather clear, making the entire bay as beautiful as a painting. Do you like such island scenery? The early autumn is the best time to visit Dalian Lijiabao Bay, when clothing is more casual. Enjoying the beautiful scenery by the Yellow Sea and the warm breeze is a truly wonderful feeling. 3. Special precautions: Although Dalian Lijiabao Bay is very beautiful, safety must be a priority. After all, it is not a fee-charging scenic area and lacks the safety measures and emergency services that such areas typically have. When playing in the scenic area, be sure to watch out for the hidden reefs under the water to avoid slipping. At low tide, you can go from one side of the mountain to the other, but it becomes difficult to do so at high tide. However, the scenery of Lijiabao Bay at both high and low tides is distinctive and worth appreciating. Since Lijiabao Bay is on the open sea, the tide rises and falls very rapidly. You may be able to cross over the rocks 3 minutes before, but 3 minutes later, you could be submerged by the tide and unable to proceed. At this time, you must not stay on the hidden reefs in the deep sea, as you could be swallowed by the sudden and rapid tide, which is very dangerous. Please remember this! 4. Suggested time for visiting: Dalian Lijiabao Bay and Fisherman's Wharf both belong to Tiger Beach, so you can visit these two scenic areas together. The scale of the scenic area is quite large, suitable for slow-paced travel and photography. It is recommended to reserve at least 3 hours for sightseeing and photography. The sea area where Lijiabao Bay is located is very nice, and you can take a boat to the deep sea for a tour, which is quite a good experience. If you are someone who likes photography or portrait photography, Lijiabao Bay is a great location for taking pictures. 5. Transportation: Compared to Fisherman's Wharf, public transportation to Lijiabao Bay is slightly less convenient. You need to take the subway or bus to Tiger Beach Park, and then walk about 2 kilometers to reach the destination. It is suggested that it might be more convenient and faster to take a taxi nearby, and of course, driving yourself is definitely better. Lijiabao Bay Park also has a paid parking lot.
