Fahua Tower

A small white tower, located in the Fahua Temple next to the east gate of Datong Ancient City, this is a pagoda built in the Ming Dynasty, with a strong Tianzhu style, beautiful shape, after 500 years of wind and rain, still intact.

There are not many people in the tower, and the palace is surrounded by small bronze Buddhas, with Sherizi in the middle, like pearls. Climbing up the tower to see a lot of broken houses around, and seeing Huayan Temple is not bad. Several teak Buddha statues inside have not been painted yet.

The Fahua Tower was built in the late Yuan Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty. It is the only one of the existing Lama Towers in Datong City. It is named after the "Fahua Sutra" in the memory of the tower. The entire monastery building is scattered, symmetrical, and the statue is dynamic and rich. The murals are rich in color, with many characters, and the characteristics of multi-ethnic integration and exotic color combination are strong.
