Murray Rose Pool (Redleaf Pool)

Excellent beach on the harbour with easy parking. Located between Double Bay and Point Piper, it has a great view of the harbour. Usually full of locals, it is perfect for swimming and playing with children. It is a lovely little harbour pool with nets for safe swimming. Even if you don’t swim, the surrounding meadows are ideal for picnics. There is also a nice little cafe at the top, serving delicious brunch or lunch. The only downside is that the stairs can return to the street level, depending on your knees, which can be a bit hard, and street parking is rare.

Murray Rose Pool or Redleaf is a nice harbour pool that takes you out of the hustle and bustle of the city. In terms of facilities, there is a small cafe, bathroom and shower next to the pool. There was plenty of shade too, but the ground around the trees wasn’t particularly comfortable or soft - just dirt and branches. I also found the beach was also very polluted, especially after the rain. It was also close to several local schools so there were a lot of primary school students on the beach when school was over in summer. Choose from your departure to enjoy a relaxing time.
