Hoko Island is located on the Echizen coast of Minamisugao-cho, Fukui City. I visited the day after staying at the national residence Takasuso. It is a columnar rocky area about 50 meters high eroded by the rough waves of the Sea of Japan. Looking at the rocky area, I remembered Tojinbo in Doken.

The wind was strong and the scaffolding was bad, so it was powerful in a short time. Tojinbo is wider and you don't have to climb, and it's good because your feet are stable. I went to see the sunset after being taught by the inn. It was a little early, so I climbed to the top of the island during that time. The top was a small shrine with only a shrine (saisen box).
