Yuehaiguan Site

After a holiday, I came to Yanjiang Road and saw a former site of Guangdong Customs. It is located on the road along Jiangxi Road and is also known as the "Big Bell Tower". During the ten years of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty, the official office (also known as "Yangguan") was established. The Republic of China began to renovate in three years and the Republic of China was completed in five years. Now it has become a museum, but it is not often open, so you can learn about the opening hours if you need it.

Guangdong Customs was established in 1685, is one of the first four customs established in the Qing Dynasty, 1757 to 1842 "one-stop commerce" period, Guangdong Customs became a byword of Chinese customs or Daqing Customs, witnessing Guangzhou as a famous trading port and the central city of the world trading system. The "Former Guangdong Customs Site" was built in 1916, which is now the Guangdong Customs Museum

The building in the French concession was used as a customs house. Before liberation, the "Red House" was the Guangdong Customs Club, and only middle and senior officials were eligible to stay. After liberation, it was used as a customs staff dormitory.

Customs was founded in 1685, and Jianghai Customs and Jinhai Customs jointly called the three customs of the Qing Dynasty. The building witnessed the development of China's customs from the Qing Dynasty to the founding of the country, which has important historical research value. In 1993, the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government announced it as a cultural relics protection unit, and in 2006 it was approved by the State Council to be included in the list of the sixth batch of key cultural relics protection units nationwide.

Pleasant scenery, beautiful environment, good air quality

The former site of Guangdong Customs is located on the west side of the river in Guangzhou, commonly known as the "big bell tower". The building sits north to south, the whole is a mixed structure of masonry and reinforced concrete, most of the building materials are imported from abroad, the height of the building is more than 30 meters, the basement to the bell tower has five floors, the plane is an inner corridor layout, and the three-sided corridor.
