“Woodhenge” Ancient Jomon period ruins - fascinating!
This is a great stop if you are on the Hanto Peninsula. I never knew it existed! There was an ancient civilization called the Jomon - and aside from pottery and living implements that were uncovered...
The "Mawaki Ruins" was impressive with the "ring-shaped wooden pillars" seen mainly in Ishikawa and Toyama prefectures.

The "ring wooden columns" that can be seen mainly in Ishikawa and Toyama prefectures were impressive "Mawaki Ruins". I saw the restored "ring wooden columns" from a distance, from a close distance, and into the ring. It's a restored one, and it's just a tree lined up in an annular shape, but is it something like feeling the universe or romantic? I felt. It seems that it is unknown what it was built for, but it seems that it is concluded that it is about a festival. ...
In the process of going from the guest house Kanehachi direction to Ogi direction, there is a road sign, which is easy to understand. Nagaoka is a flame earthenware, but I don't feel flame, but the basic feature is that Nagaoka is very similar to a flame earthenware.
It is wide 々 and there are no people, so you can think of it in the past. The residence seems to be happy for children. The ring giant tree was not restored excessively, so it felt good.

Excavated items from the ruins are exhibited at a facility called the Mawaki Ruins Jomonkan. Each one is very beautiful, but it was explained that it was excavated in good condition because it was a wetland. You can see that the Jomon period was an era when the architectural technology was surprisingly reasonable, such as the wooden structure that seems to have been the foundation of the building.
