Baqi Rest Stop

The Baqi Recreation Area in Fengbin Township, Hualien County is located 31 kilometers from Taitao Line 11, because it is next to the road, so it often becomes a temporary rest station for tourists when driving on the East Coast Highway. It is an excellent sea viewing attraction and brings a surprise on the journey every time. Because of the good location in Baqi Rest District, the East Management Department has set up a special observation deck here, which can look at the wide Pacific Ocean at a glance, plus the surrounding area is full of various shade trees and bright flower landscapes, which often make past tourists linger.

Bazaki Observatory is the highest scenic spot on Hualien East Coast Highway. It's very high beside the highway. It's easy to see. There are several telescopes here. You can watch the scenery of the distant seaside with two telescopes. Usually, there are not many people. Both self-driving and cycling will pass through this area. You can stop to enjoy the beautiful scenery for a while.

This is a rest station in Hualien section of East Coast Highway (Line 11), and a few highways between Hualien and the whole coastal highway in Taidong.
