    Adjacent to momorin Ji Temple

    Original Text

It was located adjacent to Torinji Temple. Compared to Torinji Temple, where tourists came back to worship, there were fewer worshipers, and it was usually a quiet precinct like an unmanned precinct.

It was Gongen-do, which was designated as an important cultural property adjacent to Torinji Temple. There was a detailed explanation monument by the Ishigaki City Board of Education, and it was stated that it was built at the same time as Torinji Temple.

    Japanese Shinto shrine

    Original Text

There is an entrance next to Torinji Temple, which is not connected in the precincts. Admission is free, and although it is attached to a Buddhist temple, it is a shrine.

    Adjacent to momorin Ji Temple

    Original Text

It stood adjacent to Torinji Temple. The entrance to the precincts was also separate, and it seemed that Kumano Gongen was enshrined here. It is a nationally designated important cultural property, and the explanation monument by the Ishigaki City Board of Education stated that it was built at the same time as Torinji Temple in 1614.

A shrine designated as a national important cultural property

    Original Text

When I read the explanation board of this shrine, there is a description that "The Satsuma Domain advised King Shoning to build a temple and shrine." "It was built at the same time as Torinji Temple (adjacent to Gongendo)." "It is the beginning of the construction of temples and shrines in Yaeyama." I thought that the Satsuma domain had imposed Shinto on Yaeyama people 々 who did not believe in "Shinto" until then, but is that too much thought? Since the building was from the beginning of the 17th century, I think it was designated as an important cultural property.
