Yakushido, which is said to have been donated by Yoshisada Nitta, who attacked Kamakura from Ueno in 1335 and relocated to its current location in the 18th century, is enshrined with a seated statue of Yakushi Nyorai, a national important cultural property. It was a building that felt strength in quietness.
When I walked from the Musashi Kokubunji Park side, there was a temple, so when I approached it, it was Kokubunji Yakushido. The main hall is located a little far from Yamaguchi. It was a historic building.
It is next to Kokubunji and the main hall, but it is not connected in the precincts. It is located on the top of the stairs through the Niomon gate and up the mountain on the Kokubunji cliff line. Yakushi Nyorai is not open to the public.
There is a famous statue of Yakushi Nyorai. However, it seems that it will be unveiled only on October 10th. I visited, but the stairs were quite difficult and scary.
The atmosphere covered with trees 々 is wonderful!!

Musashi Kokubunji is the site of Musashi Kokubunji, which was built in various parts of Japan by the imperial edict of Emperor Shomu during the Nara period, and the location of Musashi Kokubunji, which was destroyed by fire in the battle of Bunbeigawara. Musashi Kokubunji Will be restored. The former Musashi Kokubunji Temple is said to have been destroyed by fire due to Yoshisada Nitta, who was defeated during the Battle of Bunbeigawara between the Kamakura Shogunate led by Yasuie Hojo and the anti Shogunate led by Yoshisada Nitta. A few years later, yoshisada Nitta was medicine ... at the site of the Kondo of former Kokubun Ji Temple.
