The southernmost part of the state!
Since I came to Wakayama and the Kinan region, I used a rental car to come to Shiomisaki. The weather was nice and I was able to see the calm Pacific Ocean. The monument of "Southernmost Honshu" looks stylish and photogenic, but I like the wooden sign on the way to Shiomisaki Lighthouse represents "Southern End". This time, I would like to visit Omazaki, the northernmost part of Honshu.

I visited Shiomisaki after sightseeing at Hashiguiiwa and the Turkish Pavilion on Oshima, Nozaki Lighthouse. I took a walk around the Shiomisaki Tower and the lush Shiomisaki campsite. I was attracted to the keyword "the southernmost tip of Honshu", but I didn't feel much extraordinary because I saw a lot of natural beauty in Hashiguiiwa and Oshima I visited before. If you have time, you should be traveling around the color 々 at Shio Cape.
