Concubine Wei Cemetery

The tomb of Concubine Wei is located on Yegu Ridge, southeast of the Zhaoling Mausoleum of Emperor Taizong of Tang, Li Shimin. It is built on the mountain and is magnificent. It is only separated from the main peak of Zhaoling Mausoleum by a ditch. It is the closest tomb to Zhaoling Mausoleum, which shows the important position of Concubine Wei in the mind of Emperor Taizong of Tang. The tomb of Concubine Wei faces south and is about 50 meters up along the steps. At the bottom of the steps, there is a monument of the Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit; on both sides of the steps, there are Tang Dynasty stone carvings of the gods, including three pairs of stone sheep, a pair of stone tigers and a pair of Huabiao.
