Yuanjia Village

Yuanjia Village, a village under the jurisdiction of Yanxia Town, Liquan County, Shaanxi Province, is a traditional Chinese village located in the heart of the Guanzhong Plain in Shaanxi, China. The terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, and the landforms are divided into two major categories: the southern platform and the northern hilly gully area. The village area is 0.4 square kilometers. Yuanjia Village is one of the famous rural tourism destinations in Shaanxi Province, located within the half-hour economic circle of Xi'an. The village's site selection, layout and volume rely on nature, naturally compatible with the landscape, showing a high degree of harmony with time and space and the emphasis on the artistic quality of the living environment. The layout of the houses is traditionally due north and south, square and upright; the streets and alleys are also horizontal and vertical, orderly, but follow the trend, high and low, neat and orderly. The string board shadow play is listed as a national intangible cultural heritage.
