⭐️Tour Tips
Start your self-drive tour at the University of Southern California, the famous private research university in Los Angeles, known globally for its School of Cinematic Arts. The campus is predominantly red, and it's quite large, so it's a good idea to first visit the service center to get a map. There will also be staff scattered around the campus to help visitors. You can spend a good half day here, soaking up the campus vibe. Each building is distinctive, with park squares, fountain sculptures, libraries, merchandise stores, and museums, and there are three cafeterias inside.
The parking lot on campus costs money, but it's self-service. You operate the machine, enter your license plate number, choose the time you want, $2 per hour, and then you'll get a parking ticket to put on your dashboard.
Plan for about 2 hours of playtime.
👇Next, head to the Getty Center Museum in Los Angeles, a famous attraction. Drive to the parking lot at the base of the hill, and then follow the crowd to take a tram to the top. The museum includes several sections such as the art gallery, art center, and gardens. Admire a variety of priceless artworks including paintings, drawings, photography, and sculptures. Van Gogh's original painting 'Irises' is also on display.
The outdoor central garden is worth a visit, and it's a great spot for photos. There is a dining area inside, as well as coffee☕ beverages.
The museum is free to visit, with a parking fee of $20. It's definitely worth it. Closed on Mondays.
Then head to Santa Monica Beach, where a stroll along the beach is very relaxing. There are various restaurants at the pier, including the famous Bubba Gump Restaurant, which is very popular. There are also souvenir shops, and an amusement park above, where fun-loving friends can have a try. Finally, go to a large supermarket for some shopping, and you'll have a very fulfilling day.
The Getty Center is not just a museum, but a viewing platform. Located on a hill in the suburbs, it has a very beautiful view overlooking the entire Los Angeles panoramic view. Up and down the mountain, all take the small train, the small train is about five minutes long, free. 🤭
It is a beautiful museum and garden with many precious arts. I enjoyed wonderful city view, garden and amazing art galleries.
The J. Paul Getty Museum, commonly referred to as the Getty, is an art museum in Los Angeles, California housed on two campuses: the Getty Center and Getty Villa. The Getty Center is located in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles and features pre-20th-century European paintings, drawings, illuminated manuscripts, sculpture, decorative arts, and photographs from the inception of photography through present day from all over the world. The original Getty museum, the Getty Villa, is located in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles and displays art from Ancient Greece, Rome, and Etruria.
The Getty Center, which was funded by oil tycoon Mr. Getty, displays many of Mr. Getty's own art collections. The center consists of multiple pavilions, and visitors need at least half a day to a day to visit.
I stayed in Los Angeles for a month, and I'm still very deep with the Getty Center Printer. Driving West from downtown Los Angeles to Santa Monica, I took a small train to a group of fantastic buildings standing on the hill. This is the famous Gatty Center in Los Angeles. It is a very modern art museum, an art research center and a beautiful garden. Here I saw Van Gogh, Raveld's sketches and the authentic works of many oil painters. I bought the small works of Van Gogh's Iris and had a very happy experience.
