Nice Woodsy Walk
Homan Shrine itself is quite small, though it holds a connection to a very interesting legend (explained in full in both English and Japanese on a sign near the shrine gates). What makes the shrine...
There is a legend related to the introduction of red rice, and it is said that it is a shrine dedicated to Tamayorihime, who is said to have brought five grains of seeds from Kaimiya and sowed them on Tanegashima. There is also a red rice museum near the entrance, which will be helpful. In Japan, rice, which is said to have been introduced from the Korean Peninsula via Tsushima, seems to have spread all over Japan, but for the first time I learned that this red rice was also transmitted from the south. It's interesting.
A shrine where rocket officials also come to visit
Original Text
It seems to be a shrine that people concerned also visit before the rocket launches. There is also a parking lot at the shrine, but there is also a parking lot at the Akamekan across the road. The shrine is a short walk away, but there is Homan Pond over there, and you can see it from another place. When I visited, it happened that the launch of the H2A rocket was postponed and it was decided tomorrow, but many people wearing work clothes came to visit.
After passing through one torii ⛩ on the roadway, you will be guided by the lighted lantern, and you will see the two torii ⛩ and the three torii and Chozuya when you follow the light. And when I passed through the three torii ⛩, the wind suddenly ... When I suddenly saw it, there was Homan Pond next to the shrine. It's a small shrine, but it was a shrine where you can feel the solemn Qing 々.
A shrine praying for amulets sold at the Space Center
Original Text
After all, the sotetsu in the precincts is exotic! The rocket amulets sold at the Space Center are said to be prayed at Homan Shrine. It's closer to the precincts to park in the parking lot, but I think it's nice to park at the entrance and have an approach.
