It's the editorial office of Dai Nihon History.

    Original Text

When I crossed Otebashi from Kodokan, it was in Sugu. From the explanation board, Shokokan is a building built to compile the history of Dai Nihon.

    There's a stone monument.

    Original Text

Unfortunately, only the stone monument can be confirmed today. There is no building of Shokokan left. There was a commentary written in several languages.

The head Temple of Mito gaku

    Original Text

It is the place where the history bureau once compiled the history book "Dai Nihon Shi" of the biography. Maintenance work is still being carried out as the site of Mito Castle in the vicinity, and I think it's a good idea to take a walk around the vicinity of Kodokan.

    Compilation of Greater Japan の

    Original Text

Shokokan is a history bureau established by the Mito clan to compile the history of Japan during the Edo period. Shokokan itself seems to have not been left, but there was a stone monument beside the gate of the junior high school. This area is pure white and very beautiful. I'm worried about the pink rabbits, probably because the road is under construction, but I thought it was a calm and good area for a walk.

There is a stone monument in front of the second junior high school

    Original Text

If you walk from Mito Station to visit the Kodokan and cross the Otebashi bridge, you will find many schools. This area was originally the place where Ninomaru of Mito Castle was located. Crossing Otebashi, there is Mito Daini Junior High School on your left, and here is the Mito Shokokan, which compiled the history of Dai Nihon. A stone monument is built beside the gate of the junior high school, and there is also the Ninomaru Museum. In the museum, the materials of Mito Shokokan are exhibited.
