We drove this area after visiting Jay Peak. Easy to find and a slow, pleasant drive. Dirt road, but well maintained. Colors were perfect. Maple harvesting on the roadside and apple trees galore.
If you enjoy the beauties of nature, then this drive is for you. Be aware, this is a sometimes dirt, often bumpy road, so smaller cars will likely experience an uncomfortable ride. The “notch” is real...
If staying in Montgomery area, be sure and take this beatiful drive. Upper road is closed in winter. Look for the extensive maple sugar collection tubes on the way down!

Beautiful scenery
