Suzhou is a well-connected transportation hub, easily accessible by air, rail, bus, or road from international and domestic locations. By Air Sunan Shuofang International Airport (WUX): Located ~18 km (11 miles) northwest of Suzhou, shared with Wuxi, it serves limited international flights (e.g., Singapore, Seoul) and domestic routes to Beijing, Guangzhou, and Chengdu. Most travelers use Shanghai Pudong (PVG) or Shanghai Hongqiao (SHA) (both ~100–120 km away) for better flight options. To City Center from WUX: Metro Line 3 (20–30 minutes, ¥3–7) connects to downtown via Suzhou Railway Station. Airport shuttles (40 minutes, ¥20–25) or taxis (¥60–100, depending on traffic) are available. From PVG/SHA: High-speed train from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station (connected to SHA) to Suzhou (25–40 minutes, ¥40–60) or bus (~1.5–2 hours, ¥50–80). Taxis from Shanghai cost ~¥350–450. With the "Flowering Suzhou · Lotus Charm Jiangnan" 2026 Suzhou Lotus Exhibition underway (the Humble Administrator's Garden is the main venue!), I just had to wake up early for the lotus flowers and the morning light 🌅 Entering at 6:45 AM, the world looks completely different: 🌿 Morning light and lotus | The blue-hour light spills onto the lotus pond, and dew drops roll across the lotus leaves. Around Yuanxiang Hall, Hefeng Simian Pavilion, and Xiaofeihong, the reflections of the pavilions and the lotus flowers share the frame—it's like being surrounded by an ink-wash painting. 📸 Photography inspiration | Use doorways, lattice windows, and pillars as foreground to frame the lotus flowers and ancient architecture. Watching the pavilions and towers being illuminated bit by bit, it feels like waking up along with the Jiangnan garden ✨ 📸 Must-visit photo spots Follow the recommended route in the garden, focusing on "framed views": 1. Hefeng Simian Pavilion: A must-visit! The lotus leaves spread out in layers, and when the wind blows, they ripple like green waves. It's amazing to capture the lotus flowers and the pavilion in the same frame. 2. Xiaofeihong: The bridge's shadow, its reflection on the water, and the lotus flowers create a great sense of depth in the garden. 3.
