If you are in the Munakata area, this is a must see. The shrine compound is worth seeing and exploring. It is large so allow yourself a couple of hours to stroll through the entire area.

It will arrive in about 5 minutes on foot from the ferry terminal of Munakata Oshima. The main shrine is located at the end of the torii gate and climbing the stone stairs. Behind it is a spring called Tenno Manai. If you expect it to be a World Heritage Shrine, you may feel disappointed because it is a very ordinary shrine.
