A must while in Omori town
A World Heritage Site which is clearly indicated by a (too) huge sign in front of it. You have to pay (500 Yen) to enter which has to be done across the street at the entrance of the Rakanji Temple. ...
It is a temple built into the cliffs. Through the doors of the smallish temples (there are 2 of them), there are a couple of hundred stone statues of arhats. The description I can offer is scant, but ...
The temple and the old stone bridges in front is a great scene. There is little discount for foreigners with passports. The spot is small, you can finish the visit in 5 minutes. However, you can spent...

It is the "Five Hundred Rakan" built to commemorate the person who died in the "Silver Mine" 々 in the middle of the 18th century. The "Five Hundred Rakan" in a small cave had a different expression and felt like living. I remember being a little scared because it was enshrined in the dark. By the way, it is said that "Rakanji", which manages this "500 Rakan", is "Koyasan Shingon sect".
When I visited Iwami Ginzan, I really stopped by, but it was several times better than I expected. As a result, it seems that it could not be produced up to 500, but the statue of Rakan with different faces is carefully enshrined. On the way back, I washed the 10,000 yen bill at Senrai Benten and went home.

It was much better than I thought.
