Lao She's former residence is a two-story building, facing north and south. Lao She was hired in Qingdao from Shandong University in 1934, until he left Qingdao in 1937, and lived here most of the time. This is one of his three residences in Qingdao, the other two in Laiwu Road and the other in Jinkou Road. This is the only preserved old house. During his stay, Lao She created a number of excellent works such as the famous novel "Camel Xiangzi" and the novel "Doctor Wen".

This is Mr. Lao She's residence during his teaching in Qingdao, where he created a batch of excellent works such as "Camel Xiangzi". The museum holds the manuscripts of the items and works used by Mr. Lao She, which is also a collection of the time that Qingdao once gathered in the new Chinese literary world and the stars. Now the red wall and Xiangzi here have become the place for net red punching cards.

Mr. Laoshe's former residence in Qingdao has now opened up as the "Old She's Former Residence Memorial Hall" - "Camel Xiangzi Museum", the first memorial hall in China named after the works. "Camel Xiangzi Memorial Hall" is the creative idea of Mr. Laoshe's son Shu Yi.

The former residence of Lao She is located at No. 12 Huangxian Road, Shinan District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province, with an area of about 400 square meters, and is one of three apartments that Lao She rented when she was hired in Shandong University from 1934 to 1937. He wrote many novels, essays and essays here, including the long novel "Camel Xiangzi" and so on, which are now spread out. Now it is opened as the old house memorial hall and the camel Xiangzi memorial hall for tourists to visit.
