Getting There - 338 Liuyuan Road, Gusu District, Suzhou This is a classical 16th century Chinese garden featuring rock, water and pavilion. It’s smaller than Humble Administrator’s Garden but due to its significance in Chinese culture, it’s considered as the Classical Gardens of Suzhou. I recommend a visit to this and Humble Administrator’s Garden to have a more complete understanding of Chinese garden and design. This garden features more stone mountains and a lot of bamboo to add the softness in constrast to its Stone mountains. There are a lot of bonsais too. The garden is divided into four distinctly themed sections; East, Central, West, and North. So it’s quite easy to navigate around. #suzhou

This location is called the lingering garden and is located in the gusu district of Suzhou, which is actually considering as the central part of Suzhou. aside from the lakes and skyscrapers, Suzhou has some really cool to offer and that is the gardens. The lingering garden is one of the oldest gardens in Suzhou. It is located in the Gusu district of suzhou, and is known for many things and one of the things is it’s really beautiful and simplistic windows. This garden is special because all around the garden there are different rooms and chambers which are all separated but still connected at the same time. And this is all because of the design of the windows. After quite a bit of walking around, one thing that makes the stay worth while, is also the fact that you can stop at this cozy and aesthetic tea shop, you’re able to take a break from walking around all the time, and have a nice sip of hot tea with a view. This is also a shop where they sell some souvenirs some postcards and different things about the garden you can see some of the photos that were taken hundreds of years ago by different photographers and you can actually have them and compare with the newer photos that you’ve taken then you can also buy some little nice tea cups if you’re interested. So I personally think that this is a fantastic touch in addition to the garden.

One thing to notes when you’re at the the the Lingering Garden in Suzhou. Is that you are going to have a high possibility of getting lost in the Lingering Garden is not one of the biggest gardens of Suzhou but there are so many different rooms and chambers which in the olden times serve different purposes, such as receiving guests, dining spaces, the rooms and sleeping chambers, the meeting rooms and so many more. when I got there for the first time I realized this very quickly that I would have to pay attention to where I am in the garden so as not to completely get lost there are so many different quarters and doorways they lead to new places all the time. the best time to Visit any one of these Suzhou gardens is when there are as few tourists as possible. This was the case when I visited the Lingering Garden on this day, I set out very early in the morning because I and some other people were invited to take some pictures at this location. the moment I arrived, I was super excited at the fact that the whole#suzhou place was completely empty. so there was only one thing to do and that was to get shooting.
