Japan の Maternity Human Department の Hospital
Original Text
This was an explanation board along the third street on the north side of Genmori Bridge over the Kitajuma River (Mukojima 1-18). In 1868, she passed the medical practice opening examination for the first time as a woman, and opened Ogino Clinic, Obstetrics and Gynecology, at 84 Yushima Sangumi-cho, Hongo-ku (at that time). Looking at the photo, she was a woman, but she had a nice face.
Ginko Ogino, the first female doctor in Japan, opened here. There is a commemorative inscription on the site. It is a place where I stopped by Mukaijima from Makura Bridge along Mitsume-dori. At the beginning of its opening, it was the center of downtown. There must have been a lot of patients.
The first female doctor to be recorded in Japan. I can't taste the atmosphere at the time of opening, but there is an explanation board. It was easy to read if there were a little more letters.
