This is a lovely area by the water, very walkable, next to no traffic, the market is good fun and very cheap for the typical souvenirs,
Busy but worth your while
This Promenade is really full with visitors (us being part of it of course). But it is a very nice place to be and to walk. So no wonder it's popular. Nice city views across the river Douro, great vie...

The cais has a own charm, an old rehabilitated area some parts not all, for my very extensive taste too much restaurant offer everything too tourist, it is eaten better more wide...

To walk, listen to music, take a snack, eat, walk through the muddle or go to the market, are several options, all good.

We are going through the bridge and face Ribeira, in front of the rabelos, accompanied by a nice rock group that stops listening for a while.
