The Fuwangfu is located in Tongzhenguan Lane in Yicheng. Originally the surname Jinshidi in the Jiaqing Dynasty. Xianfeng ten years (1860) in the early April of the summer calendar, Taiping Army Pu Wang Yangfuqing led 10,000 troops from the north, entered Yixing County, demolished the Confucian Temple in the city to build the Wangfu, and it will be suddenly burned by lightning. The Fuwangfu is not as big as the Zhongwangfu of the Suzhou Museum. It is not necessary to go without tickets. It is basically the architectural style of Jiangnan. It is relatively beautiful without the Zhongwangfu of Suzhou Museum.
Personally like this place is not a professional reason, the relics of Taiping Tianguo are mainly distributed in the Yangtze River Delta, especially several palaces. Anqing's Chen Wangfu is actually the most famous, but it has not been preserved and destroyed almost. The best preserved is Suzhou Zhongwang Mansion, which is next to the Humble Administrator's Garden. This palace is small, but complete, and there is nothing special inside. There are old books selling next to the gate, parking nearby is difficult, and then, there is no one to open the door at noon.
The Taiping Tianguo Fu Wangfu, located in the city center, is well protected and repaired by the government. When you go to Yixing, you have time to see the Wangfu, especially the murals in the Wangfu, which are worth studying.
