Huayuankou

The Yellow River Gardenkou Ecological Tourism Area is located in the south bank of the Yellow River, 5 kilometers east of the Yellow River Bridge in the Beijiao Garden of Zhengzhou City. It has formed five scenic spots of the Yellow River Ecological Forest, Yellow River Herbage Garden, Yellow River Ecological Park, Liuhu Lake and Leisure and Entertainment Park.

After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan, in order to prevent the Japanese army from advancing west, on June 9, 1938, the National Government decided to "take the water as a substitute" and ordered the opening of the ferry-Gardenkou, a ferry on the south bank of the Yellow River, 17 kilometers north of the northern suburbs of Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, resulting in the artificial Yellow River dike diversion, forming a large yellow pan-zone, The 1942 Henan famine that indirectly led to the horrific people, is called the garden entrance dike. The garden entrance incident is one of the three major disasters in the history of the Chinese War of Resistance Against Violence (Changsha Fire) and the Chongqing bomb shelter tragedy. This scenic spot is the original site of the garden entrance dike.

September is the rising water period of the Yellow River. The river is very wide and you can play on the water by boat. Another place near the shore can see a lot of swirls, indicating that the water is still very deep. There are places to ride horses and grass on the shore. You can go to play on weekends.

The garden entrance is facing north in Zhengzhou, on the south bank of the Yellow River, because during the War of Resistance Against Japan, the opening of the mouth blocked the Japanese attack from the east direction of Kaifeng. It is very famous. Now there is a Yellow River Bridge for nearly 40 years, and an abandoned irrigation station.

In the history of the Yellow River, the garden entrance break is a memory that cannot be erased. When you go to Zhengzhou, you can go to the site of the garden entrance to see.

Gardenkou Song once built a gate to treat water here, and then gradually became a village. As the Yellow River channel moved south, the village was flooded by the river, becoming a ferry port of the Yellow River, the famous garden mouth.
