Costa Adeje Apartments

We arrived 27/9, family of 4 adult ladies. We had booked a 2 bedroom apartment and were delighted to be shown to a newly refurbished 2 bed, 2 bathroom, 2 balcony apartment in J block. It was absolutely ideal for us, lots of space, everything clean and new. There was even a filtered water tap. Couldn’t fault it. The complex itself is lovely with lots of bars serving excellent food, drink and entertainment. Highlights are Sunday & Wednesday afternoon entertainment in the square and the excellent quiz nights in the sun inn. You’re also a short stroll to the beach and shops if venturing out. Pools are lovely, yes you have to book a bed the day before but it wasn’t a problem and often spare beds can be found at the bottom pool. The top pool tended to be busier as that’s where the entertainment team are based. The complex does have plenty of stairs but we knew that when booking and there are plenty of friendly staff to help you up and down with luggage etc. We were able to keep the room on for a couple of hours on our last day at a charge of €10 per hour. We also used the excellent, clean, newly refurbished courtesy shower room in reception before leaving the resort. It was fabulous. Overall 10/10 from us. We’ll see you next year sunset bay.

The hotel staff and facilities are perfect for disconnection and enjoyment of all the activities that you offer throughout the day. The staff without doubt very competent people who are always with a smile and to help you at any time! The apartment has very complete facilities and no minimum detail, all super careful and mimated with all the facilities that make you a perfect stay! Thanks to all for making these very pleasant holidays! We will return 😊

Jason McGuinness 2/5 just now on Google Milva the pool bar lady is the only positive experience in this place. Wonderfully helpful and friendly. A joy to deal with. Great fun. I'd like to give her service a 5 star review but this is the overall hotel review. I'd leave one star for hotel but Milva helps them get an extra one. Location is decent. Close enough to everything if you don't mind walking, 15 to 20 mins walk away from main spots. Taxis aren't expensive if you cant walk so no location issues really. The room was clean to be fair, pool toilets kept clean also. The room had no air con. It was horrible. They had no fans available to hire either. The heat was exhausting. Sleep was non existent due to this. There's no entertainment, no music allowed at the pool, no smoking at the pool (I don't smoke but plenty of disgruntled guests, it is outside after all). The lifeguard while probably under strict rules and ”just doing her job” is too much to handle. She gets involved in absolutely everything. Stares at you. Listens to all your conversations. Constantly moaning about this and that. Looking for reasons to annoy you. She's a nuisance. It's not a hotel. It's apartments with a glorified reception are, reception staff are nice though. No real amenities to note at all. It's so dull and boring. One room had police crime scene stickers all over the door, what happened here? I wouldn't stay here again.

As most I read the reviews and had concerns but overall we had a wonderful stay at Playa Olid. We found the food ok, we did have some meals out but on the whole the food is good. Lots of choice and my kids never once got hungry always plenty for them to eat. My eldest is a vegetarian but she always found something. The breakfast was good loads of choice, hot foods, omelette's, cereal, yogurt fruit etc. Lunch was similar to dinner you’d have dishes made fresh in front of you - then a salad bar, soup, and general kids food like Pizzas Burgers and Hotdogs. Even when we went out for food my kids would want a pizza so was worth the All Inclusive in that aspect. Drinks were good the slushy cocktails were really refreshing. The entertainment team where brilliant they knew all our names pretty quickly and where always really friendly and enthusiastic. Shout out to Mayous who literally made my little boys holiday!! The reception staff where brilliant especially Carla who was unbelievably helpful at the start of the holiday when I requested a room change (only as I wanted a lower floor due to my fearless sons climbing) The rooms were clean and spacious. In the whole it’s a 3* and I fully believe I got more than what i expected. The kids had the best time left me to sunbathe while they spent their days in the pool or playing games round the pool! They didn’t use the kids club but there was so much going on round the pool they didn’t need to. I did queue for a sun-bed but that was the process there was quite a lot of us so in order for us to sit together we got in the queue. It’s a slight inconvenience but it does stop people putting towels down at 5am. They opened the gate at 10 and I’d queue from about 9:15. We’d all chat in the queue so it didn’t seem long either. I know there have been a few people moaning about that but it’s a small ish pool area so if you want certain beds you needed to be there for them. It didn’t bother me it was what it was. We also got 10% off in the shop next door to the hotel :) which was fab. I would definitely return to Playa Olid with the kids.

I would not book this place they only get cleaners in once a week which means you can’t get towels unless you go get them yourself. When we arrived in our room the place was broken and dirty and water was leaking from the roof the kettle had mould on it there was a dirty stain on the floor and the tv cable was hanging out the wall, me and my partner would be awake till half 4 in the morning due to the noise and we had a balcony on top of a roof and the maintenance guy woukd walk up and down it and could see right into our room there was no warning of this happening either. We also ran out of towels and toilet roll so I called to get some it was over an hour after ringing 3 times so I had to go to reception myself and go into a cleaners room and grab them myself. People at the pool was too loud and the life guards refused to do anything because they said well there on there holiday too but these groups was talking about women around the pool and making gross comments.
