During the walk, we will explore the city center and capture the essence of key landmarks through our poems and photographs. These artistic pieces will be featured in a printed map, accompanied by QR codes that link to audio versions of the poems. Starting at midday in the Hive Café, we will set off at 12.30, so please arrive on time. Dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. The walk will be fully accessible to all participants. After an hour, we will return to the Hive to finalize our poems. It's up to you whether you focus on photography or poetry, or dabble in both. Remember, submissions for the map do not need to be completed on the day; you will have several weeks to submit your work. As part of the History in the Making project, various activities will take place throughout the year to celebrate Worcestershire's heritage and promote the voices of underrepresented communities. This includes a published anthology, joint visual arts and poetry exhibitions, and the creation of a poetry map highlighting Worcester's key community spaces. All activities are free, thanks to the generous funding from Arts Council England and additional support from Worcester City Council.
