The 25th anniversary celebration of the Malta International Fireworks Festival will be held from April 18th to 30th, with 40 fireworks teams illuminating the Grand Harbour and Nadour. This year's festival features a larger fireworks and music competition, with eight international and local teams participating, including a Canadian team making its debut. The celebrations will kick off in Nadour on April 18th, followed by the competition in Valletta on the 20th and 25th; a grand closing ceremony will take place in the Grand Harbour on April 30th. Audiences will be immersed in a festive atmosphere, enjoying traditional Maltese fireworks displays and performances by local bands, celebrating this cultural heritage site designated as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

Following the inaugural Malta Biennale in 2024, the second edition (Malta Biennale 2026) makes a grand return, opening on March 11 and running until May 29. The main art exhibitions take place at numerous historical sites in Valletta (National Museum of Archaeology, Fort St Elmo, The Grandmaster’s Palace, and MUŻA – National Museum of Art in the Community), Birgu, Sara, and Gozo, among others, making it Malta's most anticipated art extravaganza this year.
