Experience the best of contemporary art at the Hall Art Foundation in Reading, Vermont. Join us for a one-hour docent-led tour where you can explore the highlights from our rotating exhibitions. Situated on a picturesque campus, the converted galleries occupy a 19th-century stone farmhouse, three barns, and a reception center and cafe. With approximately 6,000 sq. feet of museum-quality exhibition space spread across 5 historic buildings, there is plenty to discover.
Immerse yourself in the art as you stroll through the grounds, which feature outdoor sculptures by renowned artists. Our self-guided visits are enhanced with QR codes installed throughout the exhibitions, providing you with additional information free of charge. For the best experience, we recommend bringing your personal smartphone or small tablet, along with headphones.
During your visit, take a break at our on-site cafe where you can indulge in a variety of refreshments, including sandwiches, salads, baked goods, snacks, bottled beverages, and coffee. Please note that smoking is prohibited throughout the property and no pets, food, or drink are allowed in the galleries.
While children are welcome, they must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please consider the suitability of our venue as some exhibitions may contain material that could be potentially disturbing. We do not admit groups with more children than adults without prior written agreement.
After the tour, guests are invited to enjoy our beautiful grounds and walking trails. Appropriate footwear is recommended for outdoor exploration. For photography enthusiasts, personal use of cameras and video equipment is allowed, but flash photography, tripods, selfie-sticks, and telephoto lenses are not permitted.
