I was quite disappointed when I first arrived at Chengyang Eight Villages. It was a Friday, and I was told there was no 'Baijia Banquet' (Hundred Family Feast). Plus, besides us, there were no other tourists in the scenic area. I thought this trip would be incredibly boring and dull. Coming with a group of friends, I wasn't sure what we could even do, and I didn't want to spend more money on tickets for a bonfire party. The owner of the guesthouse, Mr. Yang, recommended we book a farmhouse bonfire party. We could eat at a Dong family's home with local performances and toasts, costing about 100-200 yuan per person. Alternatively, we could eat at the guesthouse and have locals come perform, which would be cheaper. We decided to eat at the guesthouse at 7:30 pm. After exploring three villages, it was perfect timing for dinner. The Dong sisters were already waiting for us, serving us with great enthusiasm and politeness. Everyone ate and drank to their heart's content that evening. (The guesthouse food is all homemade by the landlady, with very fresh and delicious ingredients, and the liquor is also excellent – you can try it first). We had a wonderful time with the Dong sisters; we really bonded! Their singing is truly beautiful and captivating. Even my usually reserved husband was swept up in the fun! My friend asked if we could dance, and they taught us their traditional dances. The guesthouse rooms are spacious. We rented a twin room and a triple room (which was huge!). Our room had a view of the bridge. The guesthouse is located in Yan Village, very close to the other two villages and the Yongji Bridge (which has a very interesting and fun welcoming ceremony). My husband drank too much and managed to clog the basin, but the owner wasn't upset and unclogged it for him. The facilities in local guesthouses aren't as modern as city hotels, after all, we were staying in an ancient building. I found the room very clean, the bathroom had everything needed, and the towels had no strange odors. The landlady also suggested we go for a traditional ethnic costume photoshoot the next morning, costing 50 yuan per person (outfit + makeup) or 30 yuan without makeup. The young lady at the ethnic costume shop was very professional and patient. There were many costume choices, and the materials were excellent. Everyone looked beautiful, and many people on the street kept taking photos with us. Finally, my friends all had a wonderful time and were happy with their purchases. The owners also gave us discounts on souvenirs and tea (we got to sample the tea, and the recommended ones were delicious). The next day, the same Dong sisters who came last night served us lunch, and we had another delightful meal. The landlady also helped us find a 7-seater car to take our group of five to the high-speed train station (for 80 yuan). What I initially thought would be a dull trip turned out to be the most enjoyable and relaxing part of our 7 days in Guangxi (including Yangshuo and the rice terraces)! **Previously, due to other reviews, I had doubts about the landlady's cooking! After the landlady's repeated assurances, we decided to try the first lunch. To my surprise, the ingredients were incredibly high-quality. Even my friend who dislikes eggplant ate a lot, and I, who doesn't eat potatoes, ate quite a bit. The meat was so delicious that we ordered ribs for every meal! Although the beef wasn't tender, it was very fragrant and fresh! We just weren't used to the cured meat, and the luosifen (snail noodles) could be skipped. The landlady seasoned everything perfectly; we didn't feel thirsty afterward, and the flavors suited both our Malaysian and British palates. Consequently, we ended up having three more meals at the guesthouse.

Staying at the Xi Shi Jin She Hotel was an incredibly healing experience amidst the beautiful landscapes of Yangshuo. The hotel is located right by the Yulong River, and with the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, you're greeted by stunning karst peaks, with bamboo rafts slowly gliding by on the river – it feels like living inside a traditional Chinese ink painting. The room was clean and tidy, the toiletries were of excellent quality, and the facilities were exquisite and comprehensive. The butler service was attentive and thoughtful, and the authentic Guilin rice noodles for breakfast were fresh and delicious. The rooftop infinity pool offered amazing photo opportunities. It's also super convenient for visiting the Ten-Mile Gallery. This is definitely my top choice for a stay in Yangshuo, a perfect experience!

A wonderful family hotel with spacious rooms, a pool and a very peaceful atmosphere. We stayed here as a family with children and really enjoyed our time. In Yangshuo, many hotels have beautiful mountain views, but this hotel stands out because it is not only scenic, but also very quiet, peaceful and comfortable inside. For us, this was a huge advantage. This is a warm family-style hotel where you feel that the owners truly care about every guest. The hostess was always nearby and personally paid attention to the quality of service. The staff were very friendly, polite and always ready to help. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was done on time, and everything felt well maintained. For this level of room, the price was very reasonable, which makes the hotel a very good value for money. Another big plus is the swimming pool. For a family trip, especially with children, having a pool at the hotel is a real advantage compared with many other hotels in the area. One of the nicest details was the afternoon tea with sweets — it made the stay feel even more welcoming and personal. The atmosphere of the hotel is calm and relaxing, which is exactly what you need in the mountains. The garden, the views, the fresh air and the peaceful environment helped us rest properly. The night before, we stayed in another hotel where it was noisy and uncomfortable because of construction nearby, so here we especially appreciated the silence, cleanliness and comfort. We finally had a proper rest. This hotel is a great choice for families, for people travelling with children, and for anyone who wants a quiet and cozy place surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. We left with very warm impressions and would be happy to come back again. Highly recommended. Для нас это было огромным плюсом. Это уютный семейный отель, где чувствуется настоящая забота о гостях. Хозяйка всегда была рядом и лично контролировала качество обслуживания. Персонал очень доброжелательный, вежливый, всегда старался помочь и сделать проживание максимально комфортным. Номер был очень просторный, чистый и удобный. Уборка проводилась вовремя, всё было аккуратно и приятно. Для такого уровня номера цена, на наш взгляд, очень недорогая, поэтому соотношение цены и качества здесь отличное. Отдельный большой плюс — наличие бассейна. Для семейной поездки, особенно с детьми, это действительно важное преимущество по сравнению со многими другими отелями в этом районе. Также нам очень понравились приятные детали: послеобеденный чай со сладостями, зелёный двор, красивые виды, свежий воздух и общая спокойная атмосфера. В горах именно такой отдых особенно ценен — здесь можно по-настоящему расслабиться и восстановиться. Ночь до этого мы провели в другом отеле, где рядом шла стройка, было шумно и душно. Поэтому здесь мы особенно оценили тишину, чистоту и комфорт. Мы наконец-то хорошо отдохнули. Отель отлично подойдёт для семей с детьми и для тех, кто ищет не шумное место, а спокойный, уютный отдых среди красивой природы. У нас остались очень тёплые впечатления, с удовольствием вернулись бы снова. Очень рекомендуем.

I came here with my friends during the summer holiday, specifically for their restaurant which is on the must-try list. While waiting for a table, we found out they also have guest rooms. Hotel guests get a 10% discount and priority seating, so after seeing the rooms, we decisively booked one. Honestly, both their restaurant and guest rooms are excellent. The summer prices were also very reasonable, and the staff were all very polite and enthusiastic. It was our first time in Yangshuo, and they even recommended some fun attractions. The hotel can also book tickets for various scenic spots, so it felt like we didn't really need to plan our route much as they had everything sorted for us. I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I bring my family next time. It's very close to the riverside and West Street, both within walking distance. The main thing is, their restaurant is truly amazing! Don't miss it if you come to Yangshuo!

One of the hotels with the best of of the famous rice terraces. We booked the round bed room and the bath and balcony view were amazing. As far as I checked, all rooms in this hotel face the same direction ans all have a great view. I think the higher you are, the better. However compared to many other hotels, all rooms here beat anything else . Though the room looks a bit dated and the bed was stiff (spring bed), the shower, bath and balcony was great! We were also able to eat and drink breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel. We had some miscommunication about an allergy, and tried to order without soyasaus. However twice we received the food with soyasaus after they mentioned we could order without. we sadly couldn't eat what we ordered, but we enjoyed what we could it. Staff was very friendly.

Wonderful Stay Near Yangshuo Railway Station in xingping I recently stayed at this lovely hotel right beside Yangshuo Railway Station, and my entire experience was cozy, relaxing and highly satisfying, making it a great pick for both local and international travelers. The most convenient benefit is the complimentary shuttle service between Yangshuo Railway Station and the hotel, providing free pickups and drop-offs. This took all the stress out of traveling with heavy luggage after a train journey. One minor note: the shuttle only runs until 6 PM, so after this time, guests will need to arrange their own taxi to and from the station. The rooms are incredibly spacious, bright and immaculately clean. The room comes with a large bathtub and a mini-fridge and the best window view, the hotel has a reliable elevator for easy access to upper floors. The front desk staff were warm, polite and always ready to help with any requests during our stay. The hotel grounds are beautifully landscaped and peaceful. There is a charming garden area with a tree house, a swing, and a shaded chill-out spot surrounded by lush green trees, perfect for unwinding outdoors. Inside the garden sits a western-style restaurant, and right beside it is a small pond filled with colorful goldfish, which adds a calm, scenic vibe to the property. The hotel also features a nice swimming pool for guests to enjoy. The surrounding area blends historic old buildings that evoke the charm of traditional Chinese dynasties with modern amenities, striking a lovely balance between old-world character and comfort. Breakfast at the hotel mainly consists of local Yangshuo dishes, which is fantastic for guests who love regional Chinese flavors. Since many foreign visitors stay here, it would be a thoughtful improvement to add freshly brewed coffee from a machine and bread options to the breakfast spread, as not all international guests prefer noodles in the morning. We got great coffee from the on-site western restaurant in the garden, which was really tasty. For e-bike rentals, there are local vendors right next to the hotel gate offering bikes, though their prices are a bit on the higher side. If you walk just around 50 meters away from the hotel, you’ll find plenty of other rental shops with much more reasonable rates 30 yuan . Overall, every part of our stay felt comfortable and pleasant, and we truly enjoyed every moment here. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Yangshuo, especially travelers looking for a convenient location near the train station and a peaceful, well-kept property with friendly service.

If you are visiting from Europe or any other country, you can book and stay here with confidence. Most importantly, everything you see in the photos is exactly what you get in reality. The pictures are 100% accurate and perfectly reflect the actual condition of the hostel. Everything is genuinely new, very well maintained, and exceptionally clean. There are no misleading photos or unpleasant surprises upon arrival - what you see online is exactly what you will find when you check in. Despite having only a small number of reviews, I believe this is mainly because the hostel is still very new. You can immediately notice that almost everything inside is new and extremely well maintained. The cleanliness is outstanding. I have stayed in more than 100 hostels around the world, and this is honestly one of the cleanest hostels I have ever experienced, if not the cleanest. Another thing that deserves special mention is the facilities available to guests. The hostel has a refrigerator, which is surprisingly uncommon in many hostels. There is also a fully equipped kitchen, so you can easily prepare your own meals if you prefer. A dining area with a table is available as well, making it comfortable to sit down and eat. The hostel also provides free laundry facilities. Washing detergent is included, so you can do your laundry at no extra cost. There is even a dedicated area where you can hang your clothes to dry afterwards, which is incredibly convenient for long-term travelers and backpackers. The hostel is located on the 25th floor and offers fantastic views of the city. It is also very quiet, making it a great place to rest after a day of exploring. The host is an incredibly kind and caring woman who genuinely looks after her guests. She checks on your arrival, asks about your travel plans, gives recommendations on what to see in the city, and even suggests local food and dishes to try. You can really feel that she wants every guest to have a pleasant stay. Although she does not speak English, communication is still surprisingly easy thanks to the AI translation available through Trip.com. We had no significant communication problems during my stay. If the owner continues improving her English over time, I honestly believe this could become one of the best hostels in Nanning. She has a genuinely kind heart, and her hospitality is exceptional. I will remember this stay for a very long time. It was one of the best hostel experiences I have ever had, and I would happily stay here again.

Our trip to Yangshuo was quite an unexpected encounter. We had originally booked another guesthouse with the same name, but by a stroke of fate, we ended up at 'Poetry & Distance,' which was twice the price. At first, I was worried about the hassle of changing, so we decided to stay, and it turned out to be full of pleasant surprises. The hotel's location is excellent, making travel along the Yulong River incredibly convenient. You can take a taxi to Jima Pier for a bamboo raft ride, float downstream to the comprehensive pier, and then it's just a short walk back to the hotel after disembarking. No need for transfers or extra travel, making the experience very smooth. The interior design is elegant, facilities are comprehensive, and the staff service is attentive and thoughtful. The bedding in the room was what impressed me most; the memory foam pillows provided excellent support for my neck and shoulders, truly alleviating the fatigue from a day of sightseeing. The breakfast selection was rich, offering not only standard dishes but also rare delicacies like douhua (tofu pudding) and fresh mushrooms. The hotel's amenities are extensive, including a swimming pool, singing bowl healing sessions, and craft workshops. In the evening, I experienced the singing bowl sound therapy led by a young man; the clear and lingering bowl sounds soothed the restlessness of travel. Listening to it before bed was calming and helped with sleep. The only minor drawback was a slight odor from the tatami mat in the room. After my child's clothes were left on it overnight, his skin became itchy after he put them on the next day. I suspect the mat might be damp or harbor small insects. If they could improve ventilation, mite removal, and deep cleaning of the mat, the experience would be almost perfect. Overall, this is a beautiful guesthouse full of poetic charm, with warm service and a convenient location. Highly recommended.

Seriously, what a find! This guesthouse is located at the highest point in Jinkeng Dazhai that's accessible by car, which saved us a lot of uphill walking. From here, it's just a 10-minute walk to Observation Deck No. 2 and 20 minutes to Observation Deck No. 1. The rooms are equipped with all sorts of high-tech facilities, spacious and comfortable, with a faint scent of tung oil. The large balcony offers direct views of the stunning rice terraces, perfect for time-lapse photography, or simply lounging around, daydreaming and sipping tea – a truly relaxing experience. We stayed here for two comfortable nights. The guesthouse even has an elevator, making it super convenient to get to the fourth floor. The owner's cooking is absolutely amazing, and even breakfast was very generous. They served complimentary homemade rice wine with every meal, and even gave us a souvenir when we left. The owner is incredibly thoughtful!

The location is excellent, very close to the 20-yuan Lijiang River scenic pier. The environment is clean and tidy, and the room is very spacious. The service attitude is superb. I booked for two nights and was supposed to check out by 12 PM on the third day. However, on the second night, my child was hit by a car and transferred to Guilin Hospital. It wasn't until the evening of the third day that my husband had time to go check out and pack our luggage. The owner kept the room for us and didn't rush us to check out at all. The owner is a truly compassionate person; they repeatedly inquired about my child's condition, didn't charge us for the late checkout, and even gave my child a red envelope. For this booking, the owner truly went above and beyond, practically losing money. Such big-hearted owners are truly rare. I wish the owner a prosperous business and abundant wealth.
