I recently stayed at this hotel and overall, I would definitely rate it as a solid 4-star experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and attentive, which immediately set a positive tone for my stay. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I appreciated how clearly everything was explained. The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was very comfortable, and I had no trouble getting a good night’s sleep. The décor was modern and tasteful, and all the basic amenities were provided, including toiletries, a coffee machine, and reliable Wi-Fi. Housekeeping did a great job each day, keeping everything tidy and replenished. One of the highlights of the hotel was its facilities. The common areas were clean and nicely designed, and there was a relaxing atmosphere throughout the property. The breakfast was also quite good, offering a variety of options to suit different tastes. While it wasn’t the most luxurious breakfast I’ve ever had, it was definitely above average and satisfying. The location of the hotel was another strong point. It was conveniently situated, making it easy to access nearby attractions, restaurants, and transportation. This made getting around very simple and added a lot of value to the overall experience. That said, there were a few minor areas that could be improved. At times, service could be slightly slow during busy hours, and a few small details in the room showed slight wear. However, these issues were not major and did not significantly affect my stay. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money and provides a comfortable and enjoyable experience. It may not be perfect, but it certainly meets the expectations of a 4-star hotel. I would happily recommend it to others and would consider staying here again in the future

This was our first time to experience the ryokan hotel and it was very impressive for us, clean room, clean toilet and bathroom, with a very comfy balcony with table and chairs, the room was facing the Kyōto tower, the hotel breakfast were Japanese style, super delicious! When we checked in the hotel, the hotel staff explained about the room to us patiently. The best hotel I have ever stayed in my life! I will definitely come back next time if we have the chance to visit Kyōto! I love it!

Choosing this hotel was definitely the right decision. The overall environment is elegant and quiet, perfect for a restful stay away from the hustle and bustle. The room has excellent natural light and good ventilation, with a logical layout that feels spacious. The housekeeping is meticulous; even the corners are dust-free. The bathroom has a convenient wet/dry separation, making it very comfortable to use. The staff were polite and professional throughout my stay, and responded quickly to any requests. The facilities are comprehensive, with stable hot water and internet. The surrounding area also has great amenities, so dining and shopping are no problem. I felt completely relaxed and comfortable during my stay. It's suitable for both business trips and short getaways. My experience was perfect, and it's definitely worth coming back to!

It is a very nice hotel, however the accomodation vs the price can be tricky. The room is spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The bed covers are a little bit short though. The heat worked perfectly and the water temperature was good. The walls might be better with new painting as they have a lot of marks. The hotel provides towels, razors ,q tips, toothbrush and a cone.

I really liked the hotel. The room was decorated in a traditional Japanese style. Shops, transportation, and attractions were all within walking distance. It was quiet, clean, and there was always hot water. A nice bonus was the breakfast with toast, butter, jam, and fruit. I was very pleased. I recommend it!

We stayed at Rinn Kyoto Station for five nights in a King Room and it turned out to be a really comfortable and great value stay in Kyoto. The hotel is about an eight minute walk from Kyoto Station and proved to be a very convenient base for getting around. There are also bus stops only a few minutes away, along with some great coffee spots nearby, which made mornings easy. The room itself was beautifully designed with a very functional layout. The bed and pillows were both extremely comfortable and after long days of walking around Kyoto, having a bath in the room was a huge bonus for soaking and relaxing. The shower pressure was excellent as well. The hotel has a dedicated amenities section near reception where you can help yourself to items like bath salts, shampoo, conditioner and other essentials, which was a really thoughtful touch. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming and always greeted us warmly whenever we came and went. One thing to note is that the room servicing is done once every five days during your stay, and if you want additional cleaning there is an extra charge. For us, this was not really an issue. The laundry facilities were also very useful, with two washing machines available in the building which made it easy to keep on top of laundry during the trip. Overall, for the size of the room, the comfort, location and overall experience, we felt it was excellent value for money and would absolutely stay here again on a future visit to Kyoto.

The room felt a little small, but the bed was perfectly sized, and the room was very clean. For this price for two people, I think it's the best value hotel in the Kawaramachi-Gojo area. When I went to bed, I was thirsty, but there were no vending machines between the front desk and the elevator, so I endured it. However, when I checked out, I noticed there was a self-service kitchen with a cold water dispenser on the basement floor. For someone like me who isn't very tech-savvy, it would have been even better if there was information about this in the room.

The hotel’s location is really strategic! Walking distance to Don Quijote, Family Mart, and bus stops (also to and from Kyoto Station if you’d like to add some KM to your Japan trip, around 15-20 mins by foot). Amenities are decent, although soundproofing is not the best (we could hear bit of noises and foot steps from next rooms) - after a long day of walking we’re too tired to bother and had a pretty good rest! Recommended if you’re looking for budget friendly option and strategic location.

1. The room rate was incredibly expensive, over HKD 10,000 per night for a family of four, but it felt absolutely worth every penny! 2. Our room overlooked the river, offering a peaceful and beautiful view. 3. The semi-open-air private onsen (hot spring) was huge, easily accommodating three adults at once. 4. The 'one-night, two-meals' package was fantastic; every dish was exquisite, and dinner even included seasonal snow crab!
