The top hostel brand in China, but the Changsha location isn't ideal. Most hostel guests rely on public transport, and this branch is a bit far from the subway station. However, cross the street and you're at the Xiang River, which is a nice view. The facilities are standard for a backpacker hostel. The only downside is that the quality of fellow guests can't be guaranteed; someone staying next to me walked in with their shoes on, which was a bit inconsiderate.

The boss is very nice and will recommend how to take the bus to save money and be convenient. The location is also in the ancient city. At night, you can go out and walk a few dozen meters to the Tuojiang River to enjoy the night view.

I stayed in a hostel dorm, and this is hands down my favorite hostel I've ever stayed at in China! The room was huge, and the beds were massive! The lobby on the first floor has a tea ceremony area, a reading nook, a pool table, and even a KTV — the entertainment facilities are fantastic! The owners and staff are all incredibly gentle, friendly, and helpful women, and there are even cats and dogs around. Staying here was such a blissful and comfortable experience! I would recommend this place to every girl!

The owner is very kind, and his wife comes up every day to help clean. The location is super convenient, right next to the subway entrance, and close to all the attractions. We had a very comfortable stay; the environment is really nice.

I can just simply say that I would definitely stay at this hostel. The owner is super friendly, but mainly I want to emphasize the kindness. She took care of me as if I were part of her family. The hostel itself is super clean, just 1 min by walk to the main river. Even though, it’s surrounded by many shops , it didn’t bother me and have a good sleep at night. Traditional Chinese breakfast is also included. The bed is also comfy. The owner does not speak English but she makes everything in her hands to make you feel like in home.

If you have never stayed in a youth hostel, you can really try staying in this one. Maybe the first time will be a ceiling-level stay experience. Staying in this hotel is like opening a gentle collection of poems, with delicate beauty everywhere; I arrived at the store at around 3 pm, and the front desk guy checked in very skillfully, and did not forget to share with us all kinds of delicious and fun places in Changsha. The boss must be a person who loves life very much. He turned the youth hostel into a home on the journey, so that every passerby can continue to the next stop with the gentle memory of this city and this journey. In the room, the simple log style is matched with fresh green plants, and the sun shines through the blinds, smudges soft light and shadow. The bunk bed hides a proper sense of privacy, building a small world for travelers, a high-quality experience of less than 100 yuan. The bathroom is clean and bright, with care hidden in the details, and the clean and tidy environment gives people a good first impression; the street view is hazy by the window, and time has slowed down. The public area is more like a warm little settlement. The coffee machine in the coffee corner is waiting quietly, as if it can brew a fragrant story at any time. The art paintings on the wall on the first floor and the guitar in the corner let the literary factor flow in the space. Here, you can not only find a place to rest, but also step into a romance about ”encounter”. Next time I come, I will definitely choose this place again to continue the poetry hidden in the youth hostel.

The hygiene is average. The kitchen and toilet are a bit dirty. There is one toilet for each person, which is a bit difficult to use. You have to go downstairs. The dog is very nice and welcoming.

This hostel was quite an odd experience. I only stayed one night but for my entire stay I didn't see a single other person in the building, no other guests but also noone at the reception, not for check-in, not for check-out, not when I collected my luggage in the evening after visiting Tianmenshan. The owner left my key at the front desk and was very easy to contact via the trip chat however, so it wasn't a problem. There are no lockers at all and the top bunks don't have plug sockets or curtains. There are no individual lights for the beds either and the matresses are quite noisy. All of this wasn't a problem for me, since I was the only one in my room and had a bottom bunk. I also didn't find any towels. Overall the whole place isn't really set up like your usual hostel, but more like a hotel with bunk beds so you can sell them as shared rooms. It was completely fine for one night but I would imagine that this isn't the most comfortable place to stay for longer, especially during high season

The accommodation experience was quite good. There were two people when we checked in, and one person left behind. There was quite a lot of space. Downstairs is Xinglong Pedestrian Street, and next to it is Bubugao Plaza. There are many snacks and shopping is convenient. The room has windows and a balcony to dry clothes. Each bed is equipped with a small electric fan and air conditioner. It is convenient for other travelers to check in. If you don’t know the way for the first time, you can look at the diagram below (the text behind the first picture should be Unit 7, not Unit 4) Haha, the road is a bit circuitous, but I can remember it the first time I walked. It's very convenient.

The youth travel found temporarily during the concert is a bit small in literary style. The boss on the big balcony has planted a lot of flowers and plants. I like the most that there is a puppy in the store called egg yolk, I like to touch super obedient! Super cute!

GGuest UserHost is a super nice guy and very helpful. He helps you book your tickets as well as with communication and he has many good tips for you. Usually people hang downstairs, there are also three cute cats. Usually people order food and have dinner together. You will easily meet fellow travelers here. The place is otherwise very basic and could need repairs and more frequent cleanups. But that is not the focus here. The hostel is also close to the starting point to Tianmen mountain. PS: The package for the avatar mountains has hiked to 450 RMB including cablecars and elevator (you can use the ticket on 4 consecutive days). 12 RMB to take the bus to its south gate. You need two days to finish the avatar mountains. Then one more day for Tianmen mountain. Another day for the canyon, if you want.

GGuest UserThe room had excellent lighting, and the shared bathrooms were clean and tidy. It's just a 5-minute walk to the East Gate of Wulingyuan, and they offer comprehensive, thoughtful service for dining, lodging, and travel. I originally planned to stay for just one day, but I was so comfortable and slept so well that I extended my stay – I just wanted to breathe in more of Zhangjiajie's air. The itinerary the owner planned was incredibly stress-free. I was worried about not finding companions during the off-season, but to my surprise, I formed two groups with fellow travelers at the owner's international youth hostel. We had a lively and happy time, even in the off-season!

GGuest UserThe service was excellent; they gave us a free room upgrade and even helped plan our travel itinerary. We were also able to get discounted cable car tickets through them. The room was very clean, and breakfast was good. Right downstairs, there's a bustling night market with lots of delicious food, and recently, many popular influencer restaurants have opened up. It's also super close to the East Gate scenic area, just a 5-minute walk away.

GGuest UserThe environment is clean and the soundproofing in the room is good. Even a light sleeper like me can sleep comfortably. The service attitude is as good as always. If you have any questions, tell the front desk and they will handle your problem quickly. They are very efficient and very satisfied! The bed is comfortable, the facilities are great, and the environment is elegant. Living in the scenic area, you can enter and exit multiple times. It is cost-effective, the location is good, the price is affordable, and the service is enthusiastic. 💯

GGuest UserOur room was very spacious and had a unique character. I stayed during the summer holidays. The owner was incredibly accommodating – they even came out to meet us when we had trouble finding the place. It's also conveniently located very close to Tianmen Mountain, which is truly stunning. The value for money here is exceptional! Plus, the owner was so warm and helpful, offering fantastic route suggestions and helping us avoid common tourist traps. Big thumbs up! 👍👍👍👍
