The room was very clean and well-equipped with all amenities. There were guests from all over the world, and the front desk service was excellent. The location is incredibly convenient, right in the city center with a commercial street downstairs. The price is also very affordable, making it the perfect choice for solo travelers. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Extremely great stay! We stayed here for five nights. We would highly recommend Plat hostel Keikyu to all friends and family members. It's so clean and comfortable. We booked a twin bed room and we slept soundly throughout the five nights because it's quiet and pleasant. It is also located nearby Hosui Susukino subway station, yes, 150m away and just two minutes walk. Easy and convenient to explore Susukino as well as other attractions in Sapporo.
This hostel also has a clean and well-equipped kitchen and dining area for in-house guests.
The counter staff are all friendly and helpful, too.
If we come again, we will definitely choose to stay here again.
Thank you very much.

The location is very good. You can walk to Odori Park or Tanukikoji in 5 minutes. Check-in and check-out are simple and fast. The staff is friendly and can communicate in English. The bed is quite wide (can put 28” luggage), and the bed bottom is also spacious enough to put luggage. The check-in experience is good and not noisy. It is very quiet. The people staying are also polite and friendly. It is safe to have separate floors for men and women, and each floor has a toilet. To take a shower, you need to go to the common space on the 5th floor. There are 2 bathrooms for women (separated by curtains). There are supplies on each floor, which is very convenient.
The bed is comfortable, the environment is good, the staff is very warm, the location is good, the door is the subway station. Checkout can also store luggage. Hokkaido always leaves good memories and unlimited thoughts, will come again ~
Convenient place to ski Rusutsu while not staying at the resort (and not paying resort prices). Shuttle service was run smoothly and even accommodated me when i screwed it up 1 time. Nothing but good things to say about the staff, and all amenity rooms were stocked and kept tidy. Shower room and adjacent corridor smelled a bit off but the rest of the place was fine.
I would stay here again if i were committed to skiing Rusutsu, didnt rent a car, and didnt want to pay resort prices.
I used a five-day pass for my trip to Shiretoko Five Lakes, Abashiri, and Kushiro-Obihiro in Hokkaido. Obihiro is just over a two-hour drive from Sapporo, offering easy access to Kushiro Marsh and convenient transportation to Sapporo and Noboribetsu. The convenience of a single-person stay was the key reason I chose Obihiro. One minor complaint was the mixed-gender bunk beds on the first floor, and the lack of signage for the restrooms and showers was a major drawback. Breakfast was served in the lobby downstairs, and there were very affordable izakayas nearby. Jr. Obihiro Station is about a 700-meter walk away, and there's a bus to Koufuku Station right in front of the station. I love the Japanese countryside; every spot offers unique scenery and delicious food.
It was perfect for a short, solo night's sleep.
Check-in required a video call with the staff;; I was a little confused as to whether it was self-service or not, but it wasn't too difficult, and the bedding, shower, and bathroom facilities were decent.
However, there was no place to spread out my suitcase, making it difficult to organize my luggage. For women, there was no powder room, so getting ready for the day was a bit of a challenge.
It was definitely a great value for just sleeping!
All the guests on my floor were very polite, so I had no major issues.

Loved the location, close to Day and Night life. Near NHK Tower, ”Central Park” Odori, Bus Center, and my friend's office bldg in view!! Most of all, I like to go eat at the City Hall cafeteria, every once in a while, plus free great view of the city from top floor, nice restaurant cafe up there, also.
Question: You have a nice Kitchen on 4F, but no table to sit??. I will certainly Come again next time.
This is a youth travel that is not large in scale, mainly closed bunk beds, very clean, everyone has a small table for easy writing, if you need to borrow a folding stool from the outside, the facilities are still very complete.
The service was very warm. I didn't speak Japanese. I also talked a lot with people with the translation software. The eldest sister at the front desk once taught bead calculations. I loved playing table tennis in my amateurs, haha. The next day, the eldest brother drove to the travel destination, thank you very much.
Continue to stay next time, it is necessary.
When we first stepped foot in the Hostel Tomar we experienced a sense of dejavú. It seemed to be modelled after the popular hostels of Europe. The staff could speak fluent English & were helpful. The place was huge (for Japan), bright & airy. We immediately felt at home.
The location is incredible. It was drizzling when we arrived & continued to do so the entire time we were there. Luckily there are lots of eateries & shopping places around within easy access of the hostel. So instead of moping & bemoaning our bad luck we spent our time happily shopping for last minute souvenirs & scuppered our plans to explore further afield.

Very Good
SScudLimCozy Inn is superb, can easily be reached by bus or by car. Plenty of parking spaces. Room is big and clean. Close to Aeon and Daiso. Walkable to the canal if you are not driving. Check in uses machine and strictly only after 3pm, so do not come early. Overall, I highly recommend!
WwaynethepaintTrip.com has always been my go to for travel bookings. Similarly this time to Niseko, decided to extend for an additional week and MyEcolodge came up in the search.
I have to mention the checkin was seamless, but what I thought i booked, vastly differ from what was allocated for me. I thought what i booked was a room to myself however it turns out as a shared room. Its not a big deal but the feeling of misinterpretation leaves an awful taste.
(Trip.com CS stepped in and helped to clarify things but theres nothing that could be done. peak season, and everywhere else is fully booked or without paying a premium)
That said, the stay was good. MyEcolodge sits in a very convenient location just couple stops from Hirafu. Theres various buses including free shutters so thats really an ease off the mind)
7eleven, a small cafe, hotpot/shabushabu restaurant just sits across from you. The hostel also has their own cafeteria though ive never eaten there (food looks good though).
They have a huge storage room for your gears, pretty safe so no worries. pantry, laundry room, washroom are pretty spacious and kept tidy.
The room itself is fine, nothing to wow about. nothing to complain either. Towels are free and clean. Everything else you need to pay.
Overall good stay.
Pray hard you get nice room mates if youre sharing!

IIvan BuckinghamVery well priced hostel with an excellent sauna/onsen.
The bed was a little firm for my liking but standard for Japanese beds.
The ”private room” was great, for the price I was impressed with the size and privacy that I had.
The onsen was perfect after 12 hours of travelling - there is 2 hot baths, 2 cold baths and a dry sauna. Warning, if you have tattoos they don't like you using the onsen.
Good location, only 2 stops on the subway to the central area and walking distance to most places.
GGuest UserI highly recommend staying over at this place. It's quaint little accommodation - a cross between a tiny house and a home stay. The bed and pyjamas were comfortable. The shower had a nice water pressure. The toaster was a nice touch to heat up my breakfast. But the real reason for staying here was the fantastic 'yunkai' in the morning. Right on the balcony. You can view it, then go back to bed afterwards.
Only one big challenge - if u do not drive or are not a confident and competent driver, it would be a challenge to get here. Because the location is quite isolated. I highly recommend buying your dinner first and arriving before it's dark, as it's really pitch black after sunset. If you are not used to such driving, do take note of this.
But otherwise do come and stay at this new accommodation.
SSolo Male - Long Term TravelExpectation/Reality: fair representation of photos from reality. Bunks are organized in a clever way which make it feel quite private.
Security: good lock in bed room. Code required to get into the bunk area. And generally felt belongings were secure.
Hygiene: generally very clean, seems like a pattern in Japan. The ceiling of the top bunk is open style, rugged but clean.
Hospitality: sometimes it took some patience to deal with a human. But the online check in / out works fine. You need to take an elevator to get to the hostel
Social Atmosphere: only stayed a few nights so did not have best opportunity to engage, however, there is an abundant amount of common space and would expect it to be good.
Overall would come again and would reccomend.

GGuest UserStayed at Sho Inn for 1 night in Otaru. It’s a little out of the way from the Otaru station if you do not drive, but they offer shuttle service to the Otaru Canal and Otaru station when you check out! The host Hideshi was incredibly kind, even going the extra mile to bring my neck pillow, which I had accidentally left in the accommodation after check out, to the Otaru station at my preferred time that evening. It was a gesture testament of the great hospitality of the Japanese. Would definitely recommend this place especially if you’re a solo traveller / prefer your own private space instead of going to those hostels with double deckered beds and curtains!
GGuest UserI wasn’t exactly thrilled with the idea of a shared bathroom but the description of the facilities and furnishings intrigued me. When I checked in at Little Barrel I was immediately enthralled by the uniqueness of the decorations. It was indeed a pleasure to stay here and the numerous photos I took of the place can attest to that. And the shared bathrooms that I was so concerned about? It didn’t turn out to be a problem at all. The common bathrooms are maintained at a very high level of cleanliness and equipped with the latest toilet features.
So if like me, you are interested in staying in esoteric places you can give Little Barrel a try!
