Stayed for a night as a quick getaway from the kids. The hotel site is easy to reach from downtown Quebec with and surrounded by nature and the old Wendake village. The rooms are well-appointed and several touches from the Huron-Wendat people are spread around the hotel and the rooms. The fireplace in the lobby gives off a warm vibe to the arrival. Overall all the staff was very friendly and the room (119) was very spacious, clean and quiet. We also had dinner at La Traite were we tried several local dishes with the Bison smoked steak being the highlight of the evening, along with several cocktails with a indigenous twist. We took advantage of the private tour of the museum and were amazed by the guide's knowledge and enthusiasm. We got to know so many things that aren't taught in history classes and also enjoyed the interactive canoe building exhibit. Highly recommended to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but mostly to surround yourself with the indigenous history.

New clean and fresh property. Rooms are nice and spacious breakfast buffet has good variety. Menu is also very comprehensive and great. Staff is friendly and courteous. View of the golf course is pleasant. Parking is ample and free. One con is that must have a car to move. Location is peaceful and property stands alone.$200 per room deposit is way too high. Shouldn’t be more than $100

Overall nice hotel! 1) Room is small and dark but clean and comfortable. There was NO coffee machine in the room. We got joining rooms which was super great! The rooms are so hot we needed to put a/c. Was not a big issue. 2) Pool was out of service despite having called to confirm it would be operational. 3) Breakfast was part of our package, it included boiled eggs, toast, bagel, cereal, creton, with coffee, tea, and juice. It was perfectly fine for our group. 4) Customer service was fantastic. Everyone was really nice and helpful. 5) Lobby is great. We hung out with the kids and it was very accompanying. 6) There is a huge mall with rides for kids of different ages across the street. Aquarium is under 15 minutes away. I'd definitely stay again.

We've stayed at Quality Inns many times over the years and have always been happy with our stay. That's why we were a bit disappointed with this location. We were given a 3rd floor room that the end of the hall which meant that we could take our bags up the elevator. However our room was one of about 10 rooms that were down 6-7 steps so we had to lug our bags down those stairs to our room and then back up again when we left. We also weren't happy with the air conditioning as it would cool for about an hour and then cut out. We had to shut if off and then after several minutes, turn it on again so that it would cool for another hour. As a result, our room got warm and stuffy through the night. The breakfast was advertised as a hot buffet but really was nothing special although they did serve egg patties, sausage patties and you could make your own waffle. This stay was average at best - certainly not the quality stay we've come to know from Quality Inns.

We stayed here just as Covid restrictions were starting to lift. We were in town for a family funeral. There were very few people staying at the hotel. We arrived an hour before check-in and asked if we could access our room to change for the funeral and were told no. This was disappointing. The parking lot was almost empty so we felt pretty sure that a room could have been made available for us to change. The hotel is conveniently located near the highway and next to a Tim Horton’s. We paid $89 and stayed in an upgraded room in the renovated section. Another family member stayed in the older section and they were disappointed with their room. Mattress and pillow were ok, nothing special Room was clean. We would recommend for a short stay only.

Located near the La Capital highway, this hotel is surrounding the city. Perfect for family, couple and solo the restaurant Normandin is also really accessible. The standard room are small, so if you have too many luggage it might be feel a bit tight. The staff was very professional, specially the lady working at the breakfast station. During COVID, they still offering breakfast but you can no longer self service.

Lunch: a box with a yogurt, a PERIT muffin, a cookie, a mini fruit salad and a cheese (it's the sweet box) who eats cookies for lunch???? The other box, there ”salty” offers a turkey cheese croissant, yogurt, cheese and some stuff. This croissant for breakfast is a bit heavy! The room is not too big, but the bed is very big, one double for three people, the bathroom is big enough; there is always hot water and coffee, there is drink in the morning; during the stay, it should be the Italian restaurant under the same company. Discount breakfast coupons, recommended to eat, add a tip, tax or something, a person more than ten Canadian dollars, the value; parking free, a few simple meals around; a few kilometers from the old city, but it is not far. Very satisfied.

My family and I stayed here for our first night of a week long holiday in Quebec. From the moment we entered, we were disappointed. The staff at the front desk acknowledged us, only after prying themselves away from their cell phones. I noticed that the amount we were being charged was in excess of what we were originally quotes in an email, so I questioned the charge. The girls argued that prices are subject to change so I asked for a manager. The manager came and explained that the girls were new hires and granted us the price we were originally quoted, but upon an attempt to reverse the charge on my credit card, rang the charge in 2 more times, so I now had 3 charges on my credit card totalling about $1200. The manager said I would need to call my bank. I called my bank who advised that until the transaction is posted, there was nothing they could do and the hotel would need to deal with it first. The hotel manager then said by midnight everything should be cleared off the card. This didn't end up being the case. To make a long story short, 7 days, various excuses by hotel management and several angry phone calls later, the charges were removed from my card. We ended up getting the night stay free of charge for all of the aggravation their error caused. The second issue that we had with this hotel, is while it is central to many tourist attractions, they advertise that the hotel is pet friendly, however, the hotel is located in the middle of a street where there is no place for dogs to go to the washroom without walking a distance. We would never recommend this hotel to anyone, as there are many other options in the area with basic rooms like we had that care about their customers' satisfaction.

Good price/performance ratio. I stayed for two nights, just beside Highway 138 and 404, so although it is a suburb, it is very convenient to get into the city. It takes 20 minutes to get to the old city and not far from Crystal Falls. The facilities are complete and convenient. The front desk was very enthusiastic. We asked Tadosac about the situation and enthusiastically helped us.

Upon arriving in our room on the ground floor, we found it to be quite hot. However, we thought that maybe the A/C had been turned off, so we turned it on and hoped that it would cool off. We set off to explore a bit. On our return, the room seemed even hotter, and we had a night of very little sleep due to extreme heat. The air conditioning was letting out a tiny bit of cool air that could only be felt by lying on one side of one of the beds. In the morning, we contacted the off site staff, and said that the air conditioning appeared to not be working properly, and stated that we had experienced an awful night of no sleep. We asked if they could at least find a fan, and have somebody look at the unit. We were told that they would look for a fan. By late afternoon, my son, walked back to the hotel for a nap, and the room was unbearable. There was no fan delivered. When the rest of us returned, we were shocked with the heat, and literally sat with cold cloths on our heads attempting to keep ourselves cool. We immediately tried to contact the off site staff again. Response was slow, and when we finally heard back, we were told that they couldn’t find a fan. My husband said that there was no way that we could stay in the room with the temperature the way it was, and asked would they be able to move us. The lady we spoke to said she would call back in 5 minutes to either change rooms, or move us to one of their other properties. Great we thought. However, no phone call came, only a text to say that they couldn’t move us anywhere and that they could refund us but could be of no further help. Although we appreciated the refund, the hotel had all day to deal with this issue, but couldn’t even find a fan. This left us, on our vacation, spending time trying to relocate. Thank God we found somewhere, but we specifically chose the St. Pierre due to its location, and we are now considerably further away. I rate this hotel 2/10 for customer service. They were not quick to respond, and we felt they should have called us back and offered a personal apology rather than a terse text of “so sorry”. Would definitely not stay again

We had a nice stay at hotel acadia for 4 days. We were visiting for a mother daughter getaway. I was a little worried because of some of the recent very negative reviews, I can see the reason for some of them but people need to manage their expectations when booking a hotel at a cheaper rate. I would say this is a budget hotel, this is reflected in the price and the hotel itself, although I can see they are starting some renovations. This hotel definitely has a lot of potential. I wish I could give 3.5 stars, but I thought 3 was too low, so I gave 4. Here are some pros and cons Pros -Very friendly reception staff -beds were super comfortable! -great location -we booked a superior room with 2 beds, this was a nice size and had a charming quebec feel with the fireplace and brick wall. -free breakfast every morning at sagamite when booking through their website. Food was really good. -water machine and cappuccino/espresso machine in lobby, with Keurig in room. No charge to use these. Cons -cleanliness: we did feel cleanliness was lacking. There was visible dust on the vanity shelving and the bathroom just didn't seem clean, black mold on the tiles. The bathroom was dated and could use an update. Made me question the cleanliness of everything else. -no housekeeping throughout our stay -no wifi or TV for the duration of our stay in the room, they said it was being fixed but it never was. -hot tub not working, and I don't think it has been for a while. It shouldn't be advertised! -when we checked in they told us that there was a drip in the bathtub that they ”couldn't get fixed before we checked in”. We looked at the tub and there is a visible mark from it dripping for a long period of time. Don't be dishonest with your guests. Overall it was a good stay, we paid $150 a night with breakfast included for a superior room and I am happy with the value we got. Anything more expensive I would have been dissapointed.

It was the best and cleanest hotel I stayed in while traveling in Quebec. All of the staff were friendly. I'm quite sensitive to cleanliness... I think I'll probably book this place next time I travel to Quebec. It's a bit far from Old Quebec, but it's only a 30-minute walk while listening to music, and taxi fares are cheap, so it doesn't seem like a burden.

We spent three nights at this property last week and we are so glad we did. Our room was pristine and spacious--and quiet. We were on the second level (considered the first) and we couldn't hear any sounds from the street, hallway or neighboring rooms. We were early for check-in so we parked on a nearby street and had a great lunch at the restaurant that shares the entrance with the hotel, Bistro Hortus (not sure if they are related but convenient and delicious option if you need to eat during your stay). While eating lunch the restaurant texted to say our room was ready and we pulled up on the side small street and checked in and unloaded our bags. We were given a ticket for a parking garage that was diagonal to the hotel. It really couldn't have been easier. We were able to take the car out at our convenience--which we did to visit Montmorency Falls and Ile d'Orleans (loved both, easy drive). We enjoyed the common room---we filled our water jugs (they have them to borrow too), enjoyed complimentary espressos, played Scrabble and borrowed a book. It really was a nice spot if you needed to just sit after a long day of exploring the city by foot (or bike). The location was perfect for us. We would set out and purposely get lost--or we would head to a specific restaurant or historic site and they were all walkable. Although we didn't need help with restaurants the staff seemed really helpful with recommendations. And they were very friendly every time we interacted with them. If you like sushi, Masaru is a few doors down and I am still thinking about it. It was excellent and a nice break from the cuisine we were (really!) enjoying. We also had wonderful dinners at Chez Rioux & Pettigrew, Legende and Ophelia. All walkable. We would definitely stay here again. A real gem of a property in a welcoming and beautiful city.

The adults appreciated the friendly service, from the booking process to our actual stay. We could put our food in the refrigerator, re-freeze our ice packs which is very handy when you’re on a family road trip. Quebec City did not disappoint and we all enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel is in the old town, very close to the attractions and within walking distance. Just in time for the Christmas season in Quebec City, the streets and alleys are all dressed up with various Christmas decorations, and the lights are very beautiful at night. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean, with two large beds very comfortable. Because there is no elevator in the old house, the residents can only climb the stairs, but fortunately, they can exercise on the third floor. There is a Thai restaurant on the first floor of the hotel, and the business is good. I originally booked a room without breakfast. I upgraded it to include breakfast at the front desk. Thank you very much. The parking fee for two nights was also confiscated before checking out. This trip was really worthwhile.

We stayed a few nights here while exploring Q.C. The location is very good. Sitting on the edge of the old town, it was close to all the main attractions, but without the noise. It's also convenient for running or walking in the Plains of Abraham park. We had the breakfast once, but preferred to get a croissant or pastry from a bakery on the nearby main street. The staff were great - all extremely friendly and helpful, asking about our day or if we slept well, or offering to make a restaurant booking. The suggestions for restaurants that we tried were good. The room was comfortable, the bathroom functional, although the sink was not in the bathroom but in the bedroom. This could be inconvenient if one person sleeping while the other person needs the bright lights above the sink. There was a room safe which was a good size - bigger than some we have seen. Hot water for tea was always available. Parking was a 3 minute walk away, with a loading / unloading area immediately in front of the hotel. The hotel is part of a free bus pass scheme if you are staying three nights or longer.

Calling an Uber from Quebec Central Train Station usually costs about 20 dollars; I only stayed for two nights, and the room was clean and quiet; the breakfast was simple enough for me, but it was a pity that there was no vegetable salad; the front desk service was good, and Canadian hotels generally don’t clean them after staying for 3 days in a row. Yes, save the tip. There is no way, the prices of hotels in Canada are relatively high, but they are relatively clean.

We checked out the terrace but of course it was cold and covered in snow. It’s sure to be wonderful during warmer months. The guest portal is very helpful. This was our first visit to Quebec City and our son’s first visit out of the US - this made a terrific first impression! There are restaurants and shops up and down the street. Half way through our stay here. The rooms are lovely and clean, and updated to modern expectations in an old building. Staff have been wonderful. Really good value for money. The only downside so far has been the restaurant (Louise Taverne &Bar a Vin). As we were checking in to the hotel this morning, other customers told us the place is lovely but not to eat here. We decided to go anyway, just wanting a drink while we waited for our laundry to dry… and we may have thought about eating there if all was ok. We were totally ignored, despite trying to attract the attention of the man in charge of the outside area (around a dozen tables, four of which were occupied). We asked someone else if we could sit down. They referred us to him. We waited while he cleaned a couple of tables, walked past us to talk to someone, walked inside and fiddled around in there for a while, walked out again and cleaned a couple more tables, went round us to get to another table where he rearranged the setting. Walked back to near where we were standing and then turned around to chat to some people he had served since we had been there. Don’t know what sort of self-important trip he was on but we left and will not return. But… that led to a delightful experience at 900 Rue Saint-Paul across the road (separate review coming).

A bijou in the heart of Old Quebec, with a 3 star restaurant on the ground floor, this establishment has all the hallmarks of a classic inn on animated pedestrian streets with plenty of shops and attractions virtually all around it, from the Chateau Frontenac to the Dufferin Terrace to the ramparts and citadel. Only problem: parking is a nightmare! Plan to drop your bags and then hunt for a place to put your car, and be prepared for a looooong hike back!

It's very fancy from thw outward appearance, but has a number of issues which I find a pain. They may not bother others. The room was very dark, and the shower set up was just plain odd. The shower door design was such that the floor would get very wet. I have attached photo. Also the HVAC was unnecessarily complicated. Had a better stay at another hotel the previous night.

We rented a loft at the last minute by calling directly down. We told them that we were going to arrive late because we had a reservation in a late restaurant. We arrived at 1:30 a.m., we never had access to our loft. No indication, no good code left there. The emergency service line has no idea how to help us. It was not able to reach anyone from 1:30 to 3:30 AM on Friday night Saturday. We had no other indication than waiting for someone to call us by making us waiting for the corridors. We never had a return of call, never had any excuses, never offered to pay back. I had to insist by calling and I was told that 3 people were too foolish to get back a code and they didn't believe us ... as if we had just done this for 2 hours 30 in the night. And that we had time to get stubborn with them. The supervisor refused to identify, doesn't want to leave his name after we've been hanging on our nose. We refuse to pay our differences and we have not even paid the price in advance. We intend to prosecute these owners in court so insulting.
