Holiday Inn Express Ankara Airport, an IHG Hotel

Balikhisar Mahallesi|0.05km from city center
When I booked a room at the Holiday Inn Ankara Airport, I knew that the hotel was brand new and I would be one of the first guests. But I had no idea that a hotel of this level could be opened with such a terrible quality of service and attitude to customers. The problems started on the first day. My room has a built-in refrigerator, but it doesn't work. Just because it wasn't plugged into the power grid. There is a stove in the room, but it does not work. Can you guess why? That's right, it's not connected to the power grid also. A part of the lamps does not work either, simply because the wires and connectors are connected incorrectly. Calling electricians on the first day solved only the problem with the refrigerator. The guys ran around the kitchen for about half an hour, not understanding what to do with the refrigerator. When I offered to check the wire with the help of translation app, they tried to convince me that this could not be and everything was on. At the end of the conversation, they finally decided to check the wire, and it was disconnected and rolled up in the transport position on the back wall of the refrigerator. It took two days to fix the light. At the same time, they repaired one lamp, but the other lamp stopped working. When the turn came to the stove, it was possible to connect it quickly, but its wire prevents closing the drawer in the kitchen set. Therefore, there is now a drawer sticking out in the middle of the kitchen, because there simply nowhere to close it. In general, the hotel looks very good, everything is beautiful and looks luxurious. However, everything is completely different in the rooms. There are traces of paint and dried cement on the bathroom floor, drops of dried sealant on the walls. The shelf in the bathroom has a strong crack or a saw cut, as if they tried to install the shelf somewhere else or simply sawed it incorrectly and did not fix it somehow or hide it. The balcony door is locked and it is impossible to open it even for ventilation, since the staff does not have a key to this door. Separately, it is worth mentioning the kitchen and the restaurant. I arrived at the hotel in the evening and really wanted to eat. The choice of dishes on the menu pleased me at first, but in the end it turned out that the kitchen could not cook many of these dishes because there were no products. And the dish I ordered, I had to wait almost an hour, even when I was the only guest at that time. This happened because in fact there was only one cook and two bartenders in the kitchen on Monday evening. By the way, that Caesar Salad and Cheese cake were very tasty. But it is the only good thing in this hotel, unfortunately. Breakfast at the hotel disappointed me completely. There is practically no choice of dishes. There are no full-fledged side dishes (only scrambled eggs and boiled eggs), only sausages from meat. The juices are very much diluted with water. There is no milk, there is no coffee either. The hotel is only a few kilometers away from the airport, very convenient! Hotel facilities are newer and the service is good. In fact, the global standardized facilities and services make us more assured!

It is away from the city. I think it is inconvenient for personal use. There is nothing around. It feels like a house in the field (hotel). 2 people have 3 beds. King size w bed and single 2 beds. The room is quite large. The room has water and carbonated water service, but there is no hot water pot or coffee tea service. The most troublesome thing is that there are no cups. It is more inconvenient than I thought to have no cup. I asked the front desk for a cup but I couldn't deliver it until the end. The disposable slippers with the name were attached. The hotel itself is clean and nice, but the service is one now. The pool and sauna are said to be free to use until 10 hours.
