Areias Village Beach Suite Hotel

It's a nice, clean place but some aspects of the stay weren't great. The walls are particularly thin, the utencils provided for self-catering were woefully inadequte, and the "bed" which came out from under the setee was of poor quality. Felt that the hob should have had 4 instead of just the 2 cooking rings. It's situated a wee bit from the old town but quite close to the strip, however, it's a place to avoid at night. Frankies, just along to the right, was a great place to go for food and drink of an evening. Weather was disappointing but that's hardly the hotel's fault, though there was nothing in the way of entertainment and the TV in the room was firmly attached to the wall, quite small, and not the greatest selection of channels for when it rained. Algarve is beautiful and thoroughly recommended.

Fantastic Stay – Perfect for a Relaxing Family Break! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We stayed at Areias Village Hotel for 9 nights in October as a family of four (two boys aged 12 & 14), and it was exactly the relaxing holiday we were hoping for! We’d asked for a quiet room and were given Room 310, which turned out to be one of the best – a spacious corner room with a huge balcony that gets the morning sun and evening sunset. The room had everything we needed – toaster, microwave, hairdryer, safe, cutlery, etc. – and we didn’t hear any noise from the nearby nightclub. The pool area was lovely and peaceful. We usually went down mid-morning and often had it to ourselves! Always plenty of loungers, and the pool gets sun all day until around 5:30pm. The pool bar serves snacks and drinks with friendly service, though prices are a little high (€5 beer, €4 soft drink). We arranged our own Uber transfers instead of the package bus – about €25–30 each way and we were at the hotel within an hour of landing, which was ideal. Weather was perfect for October (23–27°C), warm enough for swimming but not too hot, and the pool wasn’t cold either. The location is excellent – just a 5-minute walk to the new strip and loads of nearby restaurants. We recommend The Cockerel for great food and big portions. We preferred the Old Town, full of charm and shops – about 15–20 minutes’ walk or a short €3–4 Uber ride. All the staff were fantastic – welcoming, helpful, and always smiling, from reception to cleaners and bar staff. Overall: brilliant value for money. We booked through Love Holidays and honestly couldn’t fault it. Would 100% recommend Areias Village Hotel and would happily return in the future. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The Areias Village was packaged as a 4 star Aparthootel personally I would give it 3 stars. At the weekend the nextdoor hotel is very noisy with loud music. I am 63 & want the quiet life. There is also the Kiss night club across the road which during the night is noisy. I was awakened at 5am by the thump thump of what I would loosely call music. The hotel itself is kept spotlessly clean. The staff are all very friendly & helpful. We are self catering & the only food menu I am aware of is the snack menu at the pool side bar. 4 euro for a can of coke zero. Portugal is not cheap. The rooms are at the stage where they would be due a revamp. On arrival in our room they had a bottle of red wine water & a small selection of coffee pods. 5 minutes takes you to the strip of you are a party animal. There is a good selection of restaurants all within walking distance.

We stayed for 6 nights and had a fantastic stay. The rooms and hotel were spotlessly clean. The food was very good and not expensive. We had bed and breakfast and the choice was very good. Bacon and sausage was exellent as were continental options. What made the stay so good were the staff who went out of thier way to make our stay a special one. Big thanks to Anna, Jana and Maria who were brilliant. Will definately return.

Just arrived less than 24 hours ago and we are really impressed with what we have experience so far. Rooms are clean and well equipped. Pool area very inviting and what a great idea the hotel has, is that you are not allowed to leave your towels on the sunbeds and return hours later..Brilliant ! Great pool bar servicing food & drinks. Great location just far enough away from the strip. If you like the afternoon sun, request a room at the back not a pool view. What we have experience so far, we are loving

Rooms very clean, cleaned daily, towls changed daily if required, rooms spacious aircon very good, our room at rear of hotel was relatively quiet at our request due to night club at front of hotel on till the early hours,TV didn't work but didn't report as not on holiday to watch tv, pool bloody freezing way to cold for us staff very friendly and helpful Don't waste time with buses uber and bolt taxis very reasonable and most things are within 20-30 minutes walk away
