Boeglerhof is a really nice hotel with outstanding management and staff. They could not have been more friendly. The breakfast and salad buffets were excellent, the actual meals not quite so good. The spa area though is really outstanding. I would stay again but would probably book just room and breakfast

Traditional and historic hotel in the heart of the beautiful mountain village of Alpbach. The hotel blends old world charm with modern spa facilities with aplomb. The Sonnjoch bedrooms have wonderful views of the mountains and are spacious with colourful geranium clad wooden balconies. Everything about this hotel is intelligent and thoughtful. You can happily spend the day at the hotel relaxing by the pool with a book, having a spa treatment or taking advantage of the beautiful mountain walks; Andreas the hotel guide provides guests with great local hikes twice a week. There are plenty of walking routes to take directly from the hotel. The food at the Boglerhof is outstanding and the service in all areas is impeccable. As a non-drinker I appreciate the range of non-alcoholic drinks and cocktails - there's even kombucha! We have been staying here since 2018 and can thoroughly recommend.

A very nice play to stay, the hotel has a traditional feel but modern finishes and facilities. Friendly staff, lovely rooms, large and well appointed . Spotlessly clean . Tea, coffee facilities and small fridge with water and soft drinks in room but no milk strangely. High quality food with plenty of choice, you can mix and match from the menus. Excellent salad bar plus 5 further courses and cheeses if you’ve space! , portions are taster menu sized . Breakfasts are equally good, rarely needed lunch ! They also have a very good children’s menu with ‘real food’ not convenience junk. Very very large wine list specialising in Austrian wines , no tasting notes but staff are knowledgeable. Wine tasting with the owner in the fantastic cellar is a nice touch and recommended , it needs booking , no charge. Large comfortable bar area, big fireplace for winter or access to terrace for good weather. Live music provided twice during the week. Wonderful indoor/ outdoor pool area with bubble area and water cascade. Lots of sauna, spa , wellness facilities if you’re interested. Robes and sliders provided in the rooms including children’s sized . Lifts to all floors , boot room with heated racks on lower ground floor with access direct to outside 30secs from ski bus stop . All in all a very nice place to stay, a real treat !

This has to be one of the most outstanding hotels in Alpbach From the most warm welcome you receive apron arrival to the last good by You are friend The rooms are designed with the finest quality materials and look wonderful the new ones are a joy to behold using the most stylish materials Food one word 5 star simply the best from the excellent breakfast to the 6 course dinner the kitchen team are the at the top of there game lead by head chef Hanst Treichl With one of the most comprehensive wine lists over 400 dining is a joy each evening. Hannes Margreiter is on had to help you all the way he is an outstanding sommelier Along with mr Johnnnes Duftner they chose the best wine you could wish for even the house choice is excellent. There are some new things around the corner so next year will be amazing There also a tasting menu at the weekend 4 or 7 course with wine this is an extra but wow is it worth it. The Duftner family run this outstanding hotel wonderfully Lastly I traveled with INGHAMS they use the hotel exclusively in the uk

Amazing location. Wonderful hotel, food, people, facilities - very hospitable. A place to relax, sleep brilliantly, swim, spa and eat incredible meals - amongst beautiful mountains and gardens. Easy to access the peaks, Alms (mountain cafes) etc for walks. We went with Inghams. This was our second visit to this hotel. There are so many guests that are repeat visitors. It’s not a surprise. The place is spotless, the location is amazing, the rooms are lovely and well-equipped…the people who work in Boglerhof are super-professional. It’s very easy to arrive and simply relax. The gardens and terraces are beautiful and you can find quiet spot to relax. The pool is lovely. It’s not enormous, but big enough. It’s a nice temperature and swimming in rain out there is a treat. The spa is clean and easy to use. Loads of towels, water, showers, relaxation areas. We used it most days after our hikes. The breakfast is super. We ate outside on most days. Great coffee options. Loads of choice, lovely bread, honey, juices, loads of hot options on - incl egg chef. There’s an afternoon tea buffet too (from 2-4pm) - even at half board you can drop into restaurant and fill up on a hot dish, meats, cheese and an array of cakes. Incredible. They also refill your in-room coffee, mini bar - which is free and another unexpected bonus. Evening meals are amazing. I had Alpine menu most days. There’s a dedicated veg menu also. Wine by glass was around £5.50-6 - and lovely. That was our only extra during the holiday…Evening drinks. They also do kid-friendly meals too. For those with a sweet-tooth..there’s a Haribo (sweets/candy) area in buffet too (all included) plus ice cream options. There’s free tours with a professional guide on most days. We went ebiking. We took the bus from Alpbac to lifts and walked on top of mountains - came down other lifts and back to Alpbac on bus. It’s really easy. Lots of advice at reception on walks. Plus free maps. There are some lovely places in mountains to grab a bite and beer (Alms) - check where they are and when they open. They are a treat. There were a couple of bands in evening. Really nice. We saw lots of single travellers mingling, chatting and joining the excisions. So going alone to this hotel is definitely and option. Alpbac itself is beautiful. Small. But plenty of restaurants and bars. There’s a great supermarket. You can walk directly from town onto the peaks. Rent bikes and enjoy traditional Tyrol experience - like band music on Friday evening in summer or a festival. There’s a church - yes it does have bells! They ring 2-3 times a day. I liked it. Definitely worth a look around the place and you are welcome to do so by the community. Famous for Schrödinger’s resting place, of course. There’s a bakery, clothes shops, cafes, traditional beer houses, pizza and restaurants. Plenty for all travellers. As you can see, I loved it. The best things in Alpbac are free tbh. The air, the scenes and chats with locals.

The Boglerhof is a lovely hotel with excellent food, location, rooms and facilities. Our room 226 a Schatzberg had a beautiful view over nature garden and the mountains. Clean spacious with a good seating area and balcony. Modern flat screen TV, desk area, comfortable beds, large wardrobe and storage. Dressing gowns slippers and pool towels supplied. Tea, coffee and cold drinks . The bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower a separate toilet leading off. We were on the gourmet rate which includes delicious breakfast with lots of choice and eggs cooked to order. Afternoon lunch from 2-4 buffet style then a 5 or 6 dinner with choices from 3 menus in the evening the quality of which is gourmet. Hiking lift pass included for buses and gondolas plus good spa area and pretty gardens. Other activities if wanted like bikes to borrow plus so much more. The focus is very much in nature and wellbeing in quiet village surrounded by wild flowers ideal for nature lovers and hiking. We love this hotel and location our 3rd visit. We will be back.

I sampled the wonderfully varied tasting menu on my most recent visit and I would not hesitate to recommend it. Hansi Treichl’s culinary expertise showcases the finest Austrian produce offering a tasting menu of either four or seven courses with the perfect wine pairing for each courtesy of the excellent sommelier Hannes. Each course is presented with love and care and style providing a feast for the eyes and the palate. Dinner is served in the hotels 300 year old Fuggerstube which has a wonderful historical atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the fillet of beef and mushroom from Alpbach which was the perfect blend of flavours. I have stayed in the hotel many times which is still one of the best in Alpbach.

A fantastic hotel for families! We visited with two young children and had a great time at this hotel. There is a very large playroom for the young ones, plus kids menus in the restaurant. There is also a teen area for older children. The pool facilities were incredible and the rooms were all spacious and beautiful. All of our meals (meal plan) and breakfast buffets were delicious. This hotel is hard to fault! We will be returning for a winter trip in the future!!

We returned for the umpteenth to the stunning Boglerhof this year and were thrilled to find that it is still continuing to improve in so many ways. We were looked after as soon as we stepped up to Reception. Our Room was wonderful and had everything we could need with beautiful views of the valley and overlooking the wonderful quiet garden. A personal greeting from the Duftner family made us immediately feel at home again. In the past we have said that the hotel is perfect and every year we repeat the same words..." How can you improve on perfection"...well the Duftner Family manage to develop thye hotel year by year. The Staff, many of whom have been there for many years, were so welcoming and throughout our two weeks we were
