The rooms were lovely and spacious. The service from all staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Free 5 min bus to the slopes. Bus stop behind hotel."

"Just returned from a delightful week at the hotel alphof, alfbach. Friendly staff, great food, sauna & steam room. The owner was always working hard & available, one evening taking any guests that fancied on a torchlit walk (magical), followed by complimentary gluhwein. Special thanks to Leslie & Sabine (our waiting staff) who looked after us exceptionally well & were great fun. "While the evening service in the restaurant was excellent, the overall experience fell well short of expectations for a five-star hotel. Due to the open kitchen, the smell of food permeated the entire property — already noticeable at breakfast and even more so at lunchtime. The spa area was underwhelming and lacked the sophistication one would expect from a luxury property. From the outside, the hotel also fails to present the elegance typical of its rating. Particularly troubling were the poor standards of cleanliness in our room, including visible dirt left by previous guests, and the front desk staff, whose service was unfortunately chaotic and unprofessional. One positive note: the Wi-Fi connection was reliable and fast throughout the property. A stay here might suit less demanding guests, but for those expecting true five-star quality, this is not the right place."

"This is a lovely place run by two very nice ladies. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast is plentiful, everything is perfect. I would highly recommend it. There is an honesty bar / essential toiletries if you need them and a ski boot room."
