Appart'City Confort Bruxelles Centre Gare du Midi

We were traveling to Paris and had to stay overnight in Brussels. This hotel turned out to be an excellent choice because it is a short walk from the train station, it is moderately priced, and has a friendly and helpful staff. We had some problems due to a Covid scare, had to cancel and then rebook and the young lady at the front desk did a great job dealing the complications.

We really liked the hotel itself and it was all newly renovated and looked good and was tidy, both lobby, stairway/elevator and room. The room was big but with basic interior, like nightstands were stools from Ikea. There was no refrigerator which was inconvenient in the heat. The hotel is rather close to the city center and only takes about 10 minutes to walk to the city center, however the hotel seems to be located in a sketchy neighbourhood and not many tourists in the area. We were recommended by locals to take a taxi/uber back to the hotel during the nights.

Very pleasant and cozy apart-hotel, 7 minutes walk from Brussels-Midi train station. Supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, as well as metro and tram. Everything is crystal clear, fast internet, all the necessary utilities are available in the kitchen for cooking. Separately, I want to emphasize the attentiveness and willingness to help from the staff. We were allowed to check in later than our booking policy and then we were allowed to check out an hour later than our booking policy. Considering that we were with children, these moments were important for us.

The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the Brussels MIDI train station and the exit leads you to an open space next to a freeway bridge and it's kinda dark. I was a little worried about the area surrounding the train station but I made my was as quickly as possible towards the hotel using google maps. It was already late and I had just landed from Frankfurt. The hotel itself was ok, not too difficult to find and the check in was smooth and quick. To my surprise the room I got was bigger than I imagined and it probably for 3 people as there was an extra bed. It was the newest of facilities but it was comfortable enough for me. Everything in the room and bathroom worked well apart from the TV and the plug sockets on one side of the room. That needs addressing in fact. Breakfast was good with a variety of cereals, hot drinks, bread, some cheese and ham.

Similar to the group rental of the homestay ➕, there is no signboard outside, and I can't find it at first. There is no spacious front desk like the general hotel lobby. There is a little space on the 0th floor. Near the subway line. There are 3 compartments on each floor, and the compartment I live in has 5 households. The compartment has a door and a password is required to enter. There is a strong fragrance in the compartment, I don't like it. The room also needs a password. It seems that the door lock is not very secure and a bit lacking in security. There is a simple kitchen, no kettle, and the bathroom bathroom is OK. Sound insulation is average. Hotel supplies are average. With generally higher prices in Brussels, this hotel is a reluctant option.
