The Lodge at Angel Fire Resort

Lodge was spacious and nice but we did not get extas that we needed or are usually provided with Wyndham or RCI. There was no laundry soap and they wanted $2 per small box. There were 6 of us and only had 4 sets of towels. They refused to give us more, They told us to go to Dollar Store for any supllies we needed. There was a used bar of soap and 1/2 roll toilet paper in 1/2 bath when we arrived. We had 1/2 roll of paper towels in kitchen for 8 day stay. I will never stay at Sun Lodge again.

My best friend and I traveled to New Mexico for a needed vacation. We had the best time ever; the resort was great, and the location was perfect. We will be coming back soon.

We enjoyed very much our stay at the cabin in Angel Fire. The cabin was in good shape. We are planning on returning next year. We had trouble with the road leading to our cabin because of the snow and ice build-up on the road. Our vehicle was not a 4 x 4 so we experienced trouble getting to our cabin. We actually had to leave our vehicle at another cabin that was not as high up in the mountain. The cleaning of the streets was not done on a daily basis even after a snow fall.

Where to start, My stay here was unexpected needless to say. I can not explain how amazing the staff is here and how well they took care of my friend and I. From Brooke, Kaine, Sarah to Josh, Kari, Aaron, and John, they went above and beyond. Made sure I was comfortable and checked in on how our rides were each day. The hotel itself is very comfortable and the hot tub is amazing after a long day of riding down the mountain. The restaurant/bar has great food and even better drinks, they are willing to make you a drink you request as well! The room was very nice and had its own electric fire place with a long shared patio and a view of the mountain. Thank you again for such an amazing stay, I can not wait to come back next year!

I, along with my wife and two children, stayed there over the Christmas holidays. We skied five days straight (including Christmas Eve & Day!). We loved it. The room was okay, but for a week... we really needed more "spread-out" space for that long. That being said, the staff there were incredible. Brooke & Kaine practically live there over the holidays. I don't know how they do it. All hours of the day and night. They were great and always available for help. We had a blast there. Highly recommend this resort. Oh... and the skiing was a great place for every age and skill level. Thank you, Brooke & Kaine!

This condo is a short drive from Angel Fire but not within walking distance. There is a shuttle but none of the numbers provided are in service so you have to creatively hitch a ride to the slopes. The unit we stayed in was straight out of 1975 which wouldn't have bothered us if everything had been working. For instance, when we called maintenance to turn the gas on for the beautiful fireplaces, we were told they weren't a requirement & more to look at, not really to use. Many of the cabinet drawers in the kitchen & bathrooms were off their tracks, there were no stoppers in the sinks or bathtubs so our little kids had to take showers. There was a plumbing issue and our water was turned off for an entire day and night. We were told that it would eventually come back on...good luck. On the plus side- there are plenty of closets which was nice for storing skis. There was also a bonus room like a solarium but it was too cold to use. Had it been heated, it would have been a nice touch. The back patio was cute & there were plenty of pots and pans to cook with. Additionally the mattresses weren't the worst we have slept on-probably a 5 out of 10 as they still had some firmness. This wasn't a total zero but there are SO many little things that could be done to make our stay more comfortable & enjoyable.

We had a last minute getaway from Florida and picked the cabinshare in Angel Fire. We could be happier with the cabin and especially the cord of wood for the fireplace stove. We bought alfalfa at the True Value and spread behind the cabin and had Deer in the morning and evening. We put on over 2000 miles in a week traveling Northern NM and Southern CO spending one day in Ourey, CO and driving to Telluride and Mesa Verde National park. Large Cabin in a very nice area that is not commercialized but very low key.

The unit was very beautiful and spacious. The living room furniture was very comfortable and the other furnishing in the cabin very nice. Having a washer/dryer in the unit was greatly appreciated! Maintenance staff was extremely helpful and quick to respond for anything needed. Check-in staff were also very friendly and helpful. The only reason not rated "Excellent" is related to the fireplace. Our information indicated it would be a working fireplace and we brought enviro-fire logs with us. Sadly, it had been converted to an electric fireplace that had a very difficult remote to work and provided minimal to no heat or ambiance to the living room. Gas fire logs would have been a much better conversion from a working fireplace. Definitely would return again for couples trip or family trip as it provided a very nice experience to stay in Angel Fire.
