Sofa Hotels Kaleici

We booked this hotel for one night. The attic was converted into a family room. We ran up a fire escape into the room. The entrance door was so small (approx. 150cm) that we cut our heads off every time. You also had to be careful with the sloping roofs. The balcony door was also much too small. The view from the balcony was of a broken outbuilding and a deep view of a courtyard with rubbish. And that with a balcony protection of around 70-80 cm. We had no hot water in the shower. I can definitely not recommend this hotel. And definitely not for families with children.

We are a family consisting of 5 people, 2 children aged 2 and 10 respectively and an 18 year old. When we landed late in the evening in Antalya, we chose to spend the night here before going on to Alanya. The size of the rooms was perfectly fine with two bedrooms and a kitchen. The problem with the bedroom was that it wasn't adapted to sleep in. Maybe to rest a little and have some alone time. This is because there were skylights that were directly above the beds without blinds or blackout curtains which make the room dark and suitable for sleep. At 5 in the morning you get the solo right in the face and you can't avoid it no matter how you roll in bed. So you can skip sleep in these two bedrooms on the top floor. The rooms were not that clean and there was no shortage of dead cockroaches under the beds which attracted our almost 3 year old daughter. Regarding the service, I can start by saying that the taxi we ordered from the hotel reception before our trip never arrived. We landed at about 21:10 and were out of the airport at 22:00 looking for the taxi which was not there. With small, tired children, you can only imagine the situation. Finally, the reseptipne managed to find a new driver who arrived at 11:30 p.m. So had to wait 1.5 hours there. Arriving at the reception at check-in we asked for a store to buy water but the answer was clear that there was water in the room and it is free and included in the price. Well, we thought, but after checking out we got the bill that each bottle cost at least 50 lira. Water cost 5 lira max outside the hotel.
