We stayed here for three nights whilst on a fly drive holiday to Tuscany. The hotel is very modern and for us was definitely not a traditional Tuscan place. The main problem is that the bedrooms are just too small, fine if you are staying one night on a business trip but hopeless if you are staying more nights. When we arrived there were two coat hangers in the wardrobe although this was quickly rectified. The cupboards consist of an IKEA hangar in the wardrobe. To be fair the hotel did offer an upgrade at a cost on check in but we declined as the small suite smelt of cigarette smoke. The air conditioning is bizarre as you have to request reception to activate it for you and adjust the temperature - the room controller doesn’t do anything, it took us 2 days to realise. The staff are all very good and friendly. The evening meals are very good, traditional Tuscan albeit in a modern room. Breakfast only average and served in the basement room with so many people and hard surfaces it was very noisy. Reasonably well located for Chianti, Sienna and the villages to the south. It is a bit isolated and if you want to eat out at a restaurant you will have to drive.

The concept is to renovate village houses into hotel rooms while providing breakfast and other amenities in another building. The rooms were nice, not great, but I still loved the concept. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at the ”Palazzo” a few hundred meters away on a semi-covered outdoor patio. Breakfast was excellent but in late September it can feel like camping out. Shivering while sipping your coffee is not quite a luxury experience. We were here on a bike tour. We have toured throughout Europe and many times in Italy. This is the very first hotel I have ever encountered which charges to store bikes in a garage: 5 euros per bike per night. We were there for 6 days. I could understand if we had e-bikes that needed to be plugged into a power source, but ours were just leaned against the wall - for 5 euros each per night. Also be aware that the pool is off limits unless you are staying in the Palazzo. And the nice outdoor patio, you can only use it if you buy drinks from the bar. Lastly the staff at the front desk were thoroughly disagreeable. It was as if they didn't understand that we were the guests and their job was to welcome and assist us, not that we asked for much more than room keys. Having said that, the restaurant staff were gracious, friendly and accommodating. Again, I loved the concept, but the execution needs some work. Would I stay here again? Nope.

Structure in the historic centre of Pienza, from an old monastery, service and top-top reception, should only be equipped with some rooms with a 4-star accessory (kit courtesy, But for the rest, it is a nice place. The swimming pool with a wonderful view, a restaurant with customer service and care at the highest levels (good to all the boys and the owner) even if used for a dish, a fantastic breakfast with so many local products. To return absolutely.

Great choice for touring Val D'Orcia. Stayed two nights here in April. This was our third visit to Pienza but our first overnight stay. Picked the Corsignano primarily because it offered free on-site parking and was only a short walk to the the old walled town. Delighted with our choice. It ticked all of the boxes. Friendly reception, nice (very) clean room with terrace, comfortable bed, great shower, good breakfast, short walk to the beautiful old city and great restaurants. Free on-site parking was actually quite limited and was full when we arrived. The receptionist moved her own car to free up a space for us. No problem the second evening. The receptionist did inform us that due to government requirements for energy conservation we would need to call the desk to turn on the heat if we wanted it. We encountered this in other hotels also. We were very comfortable without it. Pienza is the ideal location for touring and enjoying the Val D'Orcia and the most beautiful areas of Tuscany. The views approaching Pienza from the south in the evening are stunning and unforgetable and the views from the Belvedere behind the Duomo are pure magic. The iconic winding cypress roadway at La Foce and the tiny Capella Vitaleta are just a short drive away - (the Capella is now open to the public down a 15 minute walk) Everywhere you look is a painting. Pure magic!!

Potentially amazing but very poorly managed! I stayed (I’m still here as I’m writing) for 3 days on a road trip in Italy with the family. The service before coming gave me very high expectations with pre-check-in and a nice brochure of activities to do while we are here. Unfortunately that’s not what happened, here are some of my experiences: 1. We booked 2 prestige rooms but nowhere it states that some rooms are inside the 13th century building and others are in an extension outside the main gate, the beautiful view from the pics you see in the photo gallery are obviously different. So make sure to ask when you book. 2. The day we arrived we went straight to the pools which are great for family with beautiful environment but we first ordered sparkling water and were given plastic bottles without glasses or ice. I ordered a burger which arrived without any topping like salad or sauce , we then realized that the burger was probably for another table. I didn’t care, just thought that waiter couldn’t speak English or was inexperienced but no problem we are on holidays after all. Bear in mind that the burger was something like 25 euro. 3. Breakfast- that was one of the most comical scene, the waiters looked confused, we asked for coffee multiple times after 20 min we get served a full coffee cup of espresso instead of coffee,after trying the fake orange juice from the “fresh orange juice” I asked are real fresh juice which arrived at the end where people asked us twice if we had finished, making us wanting to leave so they could clear the table. There is very little selection of fruits, very average selection of breads and the most crazy thing in a luxury hotel, if you don’t want the commercial scramble eggs you have to pay to get an omelette!!! The service was so poor I decided to cancel our dinner at the hotel not wanting to relive that same experience. 4. The jacuzzi area is closing at 7pm, so today we swam till 6:30pm but when we tried to reach the jacuzzi I was told by a lady that she closed it because she had no one to look after it. You can come back tomorrow. What kind of answer is that? 5. The mini bar & laundry service prices are just ridiculous, I ll upload it here later but from memory it’s like 12 euro to was one underwear. I went to complain to front office following another lady who was doing the same. The table next to us at breakfast were laughing about it as it was so bizarre. The facilities are amazing but at this level of pricing you expect a very different level of service.

1. The location of the hotel is very good. It takes a minute to walk to the historical sights. 2. The hotel has a free parking lot. At the basement level, you have to go around the back of the hotel to park. After parking, there are stairs to go up. 3. The hotel breakfast is also good, and the dinner also has local characteristics. The only thing that felt uncomfortable was that I lived on the third floor and there was no direct elevator. The elevator only went to the second floor, and there was a long corridor to get to the room. Not many guests settled in. Quiet, plus the classical-style rooms. , I feel scared at night. Overall it is quite satisfactory.
