"Unfortunately, my experience with Castello di Leonina has been extremely disappointing. I had a room booked for two nights in August, and upon arriving at the hotel at approximately 7:00 PM, I was informed that the air conditioning was not working (had not been working for the past 3-4 days). I was given the option to stay without AC or cancel the reservation for a full refund. I chose to cancel and was assured that I would receive my reimbursement promtly. However, despite repeated follow-ups since August, I still have not received the refund as of November. This prolonged delay and lack of resolution has been very frustrating and does not reflect the level of service I expected. I hope the hotel addresses this promptly for future guests."

"A most unusual arrangement. The owners are Canadians who live in New York and established the group of apartments in the past five years to accommodate an annual gathering of artists. Everything is finished to the highest quality and the managers are attentive and helpful. From the moment you check-in you are made welcome and your needs are cared for in full. There’s a swimming pool to share with the fluffiest bathing towels, sunbeds and swimming caps. A bar serves coffee and snacks so you don’t need to cook in the fully fitted kitchens. The Osteria del pozzo is also part of the complex so discounts on lunch or dinner. Absolutely recommended for a comfortable luxurious stay in a charming hilltop village."
