Best Hotels in Ashigarakami District

We are glad to have stayed in Fuji Matsuzono Hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable for a family of 3 and there was a small table with 2 chairs that allowed us to sit around to have some late night snacks and drinks. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. When I approached them at 1am for an additional pillow, they immediately attended to the request. The bath area for the onsen was clean and spacious. The amenities provided were also good quality. There is also a great selection of food during breakfast. Most importantly, room was facing Mt Fuji and we managed to get a nice morning view of Mt Fuji when we woke up. The view was spectaculars and there is a nice courtyard that one can take nice photos with Mt fuji in the background. The hotel is also located in a very convenience location. Once you exit the hotel, you will see Lake Yamanakako and there were many eateries nearby, all within walking distance. As we drove, it was also convenience that Lawson and 7-11 is less than 5 min drive away. Will definitely visit again.

Second visit. Mt. Fuji is clear in winter. In the morning, I went to the illumination square in front of the restaurant because it was Akafuji before sunrise. From the right end to red purple, when the sunrise started at about 1 ／ 3, I returned to the magnificent Fuji, but the sunrise on the left, the full moon on the upper right, and Mt. Fuji in the middle. I have to see this. Under the sunrise is the sea of clouds in Lake Yamanaka. The view that there is everything to see. Since there are many families, the rooms are large and you can see Lake Yamanaka and Mt. Fuji from all rooms. The bath is on the 2nd floor with B1 and the mountain trail is clear from the observation bath. You should see people in the season. It is a good hotel that is calm.

Me and my husband (Japanese) stayed for one night. They have spacious rooms with river view. The view from the room was marvelous!Food was superb. And the staff was really nice to us,and we got free ride to the Yaga station on the following morning.We used the private onsen 5 times , for free of charge!! We will definitely be there again with our friends. Thank you Shingenkan staff from Endo family!!!

Short walk to Gotemba outlet. We booked private onsen through the help of a friend as booking could only be done in Japanese when calling in prior to our trip. Room is considerably small and we didn't managed to see Mt fuji as it had been raining the whole day. Lucky enough, we chanced upon 10 mins fireworks specially for the outlet staff that night. Dinner in the restaurant was reasonably priced. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will visit again.

We went to the Gotemba Outlet before checking in. So we took a taxi from the outlet to the hotel about 1600yen. Mr Santosh checked us in and also provided many information about the hotel neighbourhood. I told him I will write about him in my review :) The hotel is in good location, close to Uniqo, Daiso, supermarket and many eateries. We even walk to the nearby JR gotemba easily. The room is big and we stayed on the 4th level which is on the same level as the viewing terrace. We can see Mt Fuji very clearly during the opening hours. The breakfast was ok, standard Japanese style. The onsen was a bit small but still adequate. Overall, a very new hotel and worth staying with them. Upon checked out, we walked to the nearby tomei-gotemba and took the direct bus back to Shinjuku.

Super cute guesthouse tucked away in a quaint mountain neighborhood of Hakone. This adorable and clean home has bright and lively shared spaces, where you will find happy guests chatting away in the cafe/bar. The hosts are around 24/7 if you need anything and at the cafe or close by all day. They are super friendly and ready to help with your needs. This place is really designed like a shared home and feels cozy and welcoming! The location is really convenient with a small shrine, little shops, bus stops, 7/11, and train station 5-7 min walk away but be sure you know which direction you want to go… the roads branch off like a tree (you can check directions with the hosts first). Loved Rum (host dog) and loved my stay!

Marriott staff welcomed us at the curb side. Check in was painless and soon we were off to our room. In room hot springs was a pleasant touch. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Even the Japanese pillows were soft and cozy. The food was top notch and catered to every taste. We opted for the dinner package—well worth the money. After dinner we rang for a late night massage…should have rethought that one. Asked for two therapist and got one. She had no clue what a massage was! Seriously!!! She literally poked at me with her finger tips. The pushed my head agains the pillow for ten minutes. Finally was had enough and she was dismissed with her full pay. Noted, she was not affiliated with the hotel, she was merely the lady they called. Please never call her again! Loved the hotel and the view. A must for anyone wanting a quiet getaway.

Although the style of the room is relatively simple, there is texture in the details. I am very grateful to the lady at the front desk when I checked in for being very patient in helping to check the itinerary. I had Japanese food on the second floor for dinner and it was OK. The breakfast was delicious.

I chose it because there was a description in the word of mouth that the bath and toilet are separate, and there are babies who are afraid of baths. Advance payment is required upon arrival. I checked all the notes on Rakuten, so I knew that credit cards were not accepted, but there was no mention of pre-payment being required. In the end, in order to withdraw the cash, one of them had to go back and forth on a pitch-dark, dangerous slope with no sidewalks for about 30 minutes, while the other had to wait in the lobby with an infant. The garbage is amazing!” After that, she is treated with a tame mouth without using honorifics. . I'm going to put this in a bag properly and follow the instructions. If you ask them to take it outside, I think there is a way to say something like, ”Excuse me, but all the garbage is self-service, so could you please take the garbage outside?” If I had been told that, I would have gone outside. If you forget about the precautions and add explanations over and over again, you will be sarcastically if you can't do everything perfectly... Even though the inn isn't perfect, why don't you complain if the guests aren't perfect? What is it? ? In addition, there are large moths flying on the ceiling in the middle of the night, the futon is thin even if the heater is on, and there is no washing area although the bathroom is separate, the wind from the dryer is weak, etc., but it seems that children will enjoy it. I thought. However, the blunt remarks on the way home made my impression of the inn worse at once, including the fact that I was okay with it. It is very disappointing that I came all the way from afar to be healed after spending so much time and paying not cheap money. From the first time I was told, ”It's cheaper to book directly, so please book directly from now on!” However, the way you interact with them will make a big difference in the future whether you want to use them again or whether you will recommend them to others.
