Badgemore Park

We checked in and went to our room it was still being cleaned. It was a bit of a communication issue between reception and chamber maids. Came back after a night in Henley and tried to make a drink... No milk. Ended up with tap water. Wasn't worth what we paid at all.

I stayed on a Sunday and checked in just before 4pm. Half an hour later I went to the bar to look at the menu, only to be told they stop serving food at 4pm on Sundays. I was told in email correspondence that this was highlighted on my booking confirmation. This is not a lot of good when you've booked a non-cancellable rate. Of course I would not have gone through with the booking had I known this. I also tried to call the business telephone number 6 times between 6.30pm and 8pm for assistance and no one answered. I appreciate this accommodation is B&B and not a hotel, but staff were about so I find this wholly unacceptable. HOWEVER. Perfectly clean and modern. The bedroom was spacious and well equipped. The shower was easily controllable, with very good pressure. The lady that checked me in and served me breakfast was very pleasant. The breakfast was lovely.

Just had a 3 night stay and it was fine. It's in a quiet location just outside Henley and there are only 8 rooms so it's very peaceful once the golfers have gone home for the day. We had an issue with our room on arrival but we were moved promptly to a better, larger room at no additional cost. The room was clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge, good storage and a clean bathroom. The only issue with our room was that as it was on the ground floor we could hear the guests above us moving around all the time. The floorboards were incredibly creaky. Breakfast was excellent. Good choice and you could tell the food was good quality and freshly prepared. The only downside to us was that the Coach bar shut at 6.00pm, despite our advance emails from the B&B advising us it would be open until 7.00pm. Whilst we weren't chucked out in the dot of 6.00pm, we couldn't get a drink after this time, or linger for the evening so it was either back to our room or head into Henley which wasn't ideal when we'd had a busy day out and about and just wanted to relax. It's a minor ******, but I guess if we stayed here again we might do it in spring/summer when we were told the bar was open later.

We travelled to Henley to attend my graduation ceremony at Henley Business School and decided to stay in Badgemore Park in town instead of on campus. We were really impressed with the place. The room was fine; not massive but reasonable size in immaculate condition with some nice touches like a proper Nespresso machine. The grounds around the golf course are immaculate and the restaurant is lovely - overlooks the golf course and on a sunny morning, is just brilliant. Breakfast was simple but good. What really impressed us more than the physical surroundings was the customer service. We got held up in traffic and were running a little short of time to get to my graduation; Alex, on front of house, called for a taxi, but upon finding that one was not available for over an hour, he offered to drive us over. That really was going way beyond the extra mile, especially given the roadworks, but I'm incredibly grateful. Marc - if you happen to come across this review, please know that you've got some great people in your team who genuinely seem to care about their guests. Next time I go down to Henley, I'll look to stay with you again.

It was our daughters wedding on Saturday and as she has made a review of the day I'd like to add a review of our accommodation I stayed 2 nights, pre wedding night in the family room, this was huge with a double bed and 2 singles and most important immaculate. It had a mini fridge and a fan, which were much appreciated on the hottest day of the year. This room was where all the hair, make up for 5 ladies and pre wedding photography took place and wasn't at all cramped. On the wedding night my husband and I moved into a different room with the same standard of cleanliness. Breakfast on both mornings was fantastic, a great choice and service with a smile, Post wedding breakfast was for a party of 12 and each meal was served piping hot. The waiting staff were attentive and serving with a smile. Marc was again on duty, overseeing everything Thank you all at Badgemore for a memorable weekend from the Brides parents

Very nice hotel rooms great clean staff great well worth stay working in area love it here staff great. Room big clean big tv all good. Hotel breakfast good. Nice area. Play golf if wish very good stay so will stay again as enjoy it there got there late was still open

What a great stay at Badgemore Park, the staff were exceptional, they were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spotless and had everything we needed. The breakfast was made with quality ingredients and cooked freshly to order. Would not hesitate to stay her again

Friendly staff, excellent breakfast and scenic setting and surroundings. Nice bar area where breakfast is served overlooking part of the course, but it's not open in the evening. Short drive from Henley town centre and convenient for local area. The accommodation itself is ok but probably wouldn't stay again for the price, very little sound proofing so could clearly hear the office located downstairs if in the room before evening, plus every movement of guests entering the building and on the corridor etc, the bed was also unfortunately not that comfortable.

Such a lovely comfy B&B made all the better by the exceptionally friendly staff. Bo and Molly were so friendly and helpful - made the weekend seem very special . The room was comfy and warm with a fabulous breakfast.
