We (3 friends) enjoyed our 1 night stay. It was a more affordable alternative for us rather than City CBD accommodation on a Saturday night but still being very close and easily accessible to the CBD. We had a very efficient check in, staff were friendly and helpful. Really appreciate the very quick efforts in fixing minor issues that we had. Overall, I’d say a nice place to book for a night or 2. We had traveled to Auckland for the Armageddon event at ASB show grounds and pretty much searched for rooms in the general area based on price, Siesta motel was one of the cheapest and so maybe our hopes weren't too high thinking that it was just going to be a place to spend a night or two. We were very pleasantly surprised, everything about the room looked brand new and spotless, it had cooking facilities, a bathroom that looked amazing and had a shower with enough pressure to knock you over. The comfortable KING size bed with awesome foam pillows was so nice. Our room faced onto Great South road but there was no road noise at all. The lady on the front desk was very friendly and helpful, genuinely interested in our stay and experience, we left the car at the motel most of the weekend and walked to ASB showgrounds, a little bit of a hike but not too bad for anyone with average fitness, we grabbed an Auckland Transport hop card from the nearest dairy though and caught the bus back, the Number 70 bus stops directly outside the motel on Great south road and we used this to head into the city for dinner and a few drinks so we had no worries about driving or parking. Couldn't fault this place at all and will absolutely book again for next year, highly recommended.

My partner and I had three nights at the Devereux while in Auckland to attend a wedding. The Devereux is well located for activities in Remuera. It's nice and handy to the Remuera shopping village. It was an easy 20 minute walk to Newmarket and access to train and more shopping. The hotel is incredibly tired and in need of maintenance. There's little if any sound insulation from other rooms and as we were downstairs could hear the conversations and activities in the room above us. I had paid additional monies to be in a room with a seating area (couch or similar). The two chairs in our room (the Tuscany Room) were stained and some attempts had been made to treat these stains (see photos). One chair was wet and the other left a powder on our clothing if you sat on it. The tea and coffee cups were stained also. It seems that little if any investment is being made in the property to keep it up to scratch. It's worn, tired, and dirty. The passive-aggressive notes in the room range from annoying to ridiculous.

No breakfast, good location, close to supermarkets and McDonald's, with parking. The rooms are large in size and have a kitchen to cook, great. A large bed and a small bed are perfect for a family of three. The environment outside the hotel is also beautiful, the service is very good, very warm.

The hotel opened by the Chinese, the room is quite spacious, clean, and the service is very good. Going right and going forward, there are two Cantonese restaurants. The one is called Jin Jade, which is very delicious. The amount is too big to eat. There is a horse carriage opposite the golden jade. Yes, Cantonese style morning tea is not bad, in short, the location is good.

Reminded by their ! I stayed here in February 2020 ( a while back but stick with me). I was there with a work thing so a busy day. I got back to the hotel at about 7pm, had a bath and when I went to let the water out of the bath the water didn't drain. Next thing the plughole in the middle of the bathroom started flooding the room with 'dirty' water. It smelt awful if you know what I mean. I put all the towels on the ground to stop it from getting into my room. I rang reception to say what was happening and that I could not stay in the room. I have to say the night manager was very helpful throughout but, it was 9pm at this point, and having to pack up after working all day and flying up from Christchurch that morning, made for a pretty uncomfortable stay. Even the new room was missing lots of items (tissues, shower gel, tea bags, etc). Please note, I am only posting this now because the cold call from a pretty insistent and overzealous Accor sales representative, reminded me to check when I stayed here. At the time I even said in the feedback email to Novotel ElIerslie that I wouldn't post to Tripadvisor. But then in checking this out, I see that they never even responded to me about what happened or what they were doing so others didn't experience what I did. Overall a disappointing experience.

We were a group of 9 people (2 adults and 7 youth) and we had booked a 6 bedroom and a 4 bedroom apartment. Upon arriving at the Best Western we were advised that we had been given a free room upgrade from a 4 bedroom to a 7 bedroom suite. It was fantastic with enough room for everyone to join in together in one of the apartments for meals etc. In both apartments we had a main bedroom downstairs with kitchen, bathroom etc and then upstairs were the additional beds with own bathroom. Kitchens were big enough for us to cook and make lunches for our day trips. Everything was clean and tidy. The only unfortunate thing was that the 6 bedroom apartment had a lingering smell of fish emanating from the fridge but it was clean and we managed to ignore it.
