The second hotel we stayed in Baku and still could not provide shower caps (basic amenities?). No water offered either. Staff were ok. Breakfast was good. We didn’t like the rainfall shower head and the room temperature was too warm. (We asked the receptionist to adjust the temperature but still warm. We woke up sweating). The location was perfect, though. A few minutes from Metro, and bustling areas.

The hotel is in a good location. It takes about half an hour by taxi from the airport at night. It is right in the ancient city. I woke up the next day and started shopping in the ancient city.
The room is a little tight for two people with two suitcases, but it is enough. It is clean and tidy.
The building is probably built in the 1980s, so it has a bit of antique style from the outside to the inside.
The breakfast is unexpectedly good, with meat/eggs/hot and cold drinks/fruits/noodles, and even porridge. It is very rich for an ordinary daily breakfast.

A very good family boutique hotel. It is very close to the subway gate in the old city. It only takes 5-10 minutes to walk there after getting off the subway. It is really friendly to travelers with luggage. The front desk is also very friendly. Check-in requires a cash deposit or document mortgage. Be sure to order Turkish-style tomato eggs for breakfast.
