Very luxurious hotel where you can find tranquility, as it´s outside Benidorm. Clean rooms and spacious. Beautiful pools and friendly staff. I will surely come back with my family. It´s practical to come by car or rent one in the hotel. Nice scenery.

Pros : Great views, interesting architecture, lots of swimming pools and sports activities, big clean rooms, great shower pressure (but leaked a little). Choice of food at hotel was adequate, it's a huge hotel with plenty of space in a quiet location 10-15 mins away from Benidorm by taxi. Taxi's came very quickly upon request at the hotel. Cons : A lot of time spent waiting at reception, stange opening hours for the restaurants (might be out of season times though). The golf : Two nice courses with decent Wilson rental clubs (although all had reg flex graphite shafts and you had to give the clubs back at the end of each round meaning you couldn't hit the driving range or putting green to practice whenever you wanted). Golf course condition was good, greens were superb (very fast and smooth!) Buggies were great as well, no issues and a must as there are a lot of hills Would I return? Yes as it had everything we needed and ticked a lot of boxes but probably won't as we'd like to try somewhere new. Would recommend if it's your first trip away with your mates and you want some nightlife nearby and all at a very reasonable price.

Myself and my wife went for two nights for her 70th birthday. Everything from check in to the amazing room and beautiful Mediterranean village setting was outstanding. We were half board and could not fault the restaurant for quality and cleanliness and staff. We will definitely be going back for another visit soon.

Awesome clean resort, very spacious, lots of character, like a little city. Level rooms very well equipped.. Nice breakfast, great views, pools everywhere.. Not any shops or decent restaurants though.. Will definitely recommend and return..

I booked this place for one night for my partner and I to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The surroundings were absolutely amazing and the staff were really nice. However, we had a couple of issues with the room and the dinner/breakfast: First of all, the room that we stayed in was not well presented. The walls were not properly painted and you could see some spots of mould on them. We had the dinner included in our room rate, so we went to the main restaurant for a quick bite. When we got there, the place was so packed and small at the same time that guests were being asked to queue outside the restaurant until a table was free (not what you would expect in a hotel like this). The following day, our last day, we came down for breakfast at the same restaurant & the experience was even worse. The restaurant was so full of people that we had to wait outside a good 10 min before they let us in. At some point, guests were jumping the queue to get into the restaurant before other people. There weren’t enough tables inside so we had to find a table outside by the pool and go back in to take our own cutlery and napkins because there wasn’t anybody who could help us. Again, something that you wouldn’t expect in a place like this. For the price that I paid and the experience that I had with the room and the meals, it’s not worth the money. As I said above, the surroundings are great and the views are breathtaking. The food was good too.

This place was brilliant. We were an all lads golf playing four ball that wanted to stay outside of Benidorm, with access to great golf courses and a short taxi ride into Benidorm (Old Town and New Town) for a bit of nightlife. This hotel ticked all the boxes. Also, it was such a lovely place to stay. Very well done and from an architectural perspective pretty stunning, with lots of pools (which we didn't use, but looked lovely), super friendly staff, great buffet breakfast and the hotel and golf course/s have stunning views of the coast. We got room upgrades, too. Overall, there was nothing not to like. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for those that are looking for a Benidorm New Town full on experience, though. But if you're looking for a refined stay (think there was a spa too), that's, a short hop from the hustle and bustle then I'd thoroughly recommend.

We had five days at this large hotel. My wife described it like Las Vegas, built to look authentic but isn’t. Sounds like a negative but it wasn’t really. The two golf courses were good , the second day’s golfing was very slow though 5 1/2 hours for 12 holes .I got sick of waiting and walked in. It’s a 12 euro taxi into Benidorm, so it’s not bob in and out place , but it’s far enough away from the mayhem. We wouldn’t go back but enjoyed the stay.

There’s no doubt this is a great hotel/resort. The old town Spanish feel set towards the mountains, it’s picturesque and stunning. The golf courses add to the scenery, and you could look at the views all day long over Benidorm down below. This is a big resort. 7 swimming pools, often interlinked in a lagoon/rocky formation with several restaurants and plenty of space for relaxing and drinking. I have read about the resort only being partially open in off-peak times but given we spent two weeks here at the end of July/beginning of August everything was open and the place was bustling although not overly busy. We paid for half board (breakfast & dinner) but upgraded to full-board after a few days. The main reason being is there’s nothing accessible near the hotel in terms of restaurants/bars. Benidorm (and any where else) is a taxi drive away. Given the distinct lack of 5-person taxi’s we got fed up taking 2 taxi’s to and from everywhere we went, such as the zoo, water park, shops etc. Having 3 kids is not easy here! We stayed at The Level which is the 5* part of the resort. The main part is 4*. As a ‘Level’ guest you can access everywhere onsite. The 4* guests can’t enter The Level which basically consists of 2 further pools, a club/lounge bar with free drinks, nicer bedrooms and the Botanic restaurant (a buffet restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner). I’m told check-in/out is quicker too. The general service is very good however I’m not sure this is really 5*. I’ve stayed in various 5* hotels and The Level misses a few tricks. For example, they don’t believe in complimentary water here. When your room is turned down there’s no water topped up, around the pool in peak summer there is no complimentary water. This is exacerbated when reception advise you don’t drink the tap water and there’s no shop onsite selling it. You can gain free cans of water from the club lounge but it’s only open from 11am – 9pm. This is a very Spanish resort. And why not, we’re in Spain! However, given Melia is a global brand and we’re 2 miles from Benidorm you’d think there would be more consideration for foreign guests. Most information (inc the Villaitana app) is in Spanish. The biggest disappointment was the kids club. Despite there being a whopping 22-person entertainment/kids team the club didn’t really make any effort to converse in English – even though we were told they would. Our 3 kids (10, 7 & 4) tried twice but left after 10mins each time as couldn’t understand what was happening. This was a real shame. The evening entertainment in the main plaza is great. They really make an effort with a varied roster. Magic show, musicals, bands, flamenco dancing etc. There’s also a nightly mini-disco for the kids, but again the DJ only talks in Spanish and he talks a lot! We hit a few snags. The balcony doors wouldn’t lock but they did send out a maintenance guy who made a temporary fix. There seems to be general lack of communication between the hotel

Great hotel with a village style theme - great staff and choice of restaurants that cater for all the family. The level lounge lounge was great add on to our stay and the staff couldn’t do any more to make our stay enjoyable. Suggest staying at the level rooms for more modern rooms
