I can't say enough good things about Calico Jack's. My wife and I, our two girls (8 & 11), and my mom stayed there for four nights. We stayed in the moon temple, which was perfect because it had three separate bedrooms. One had two twin beds, so it was perfect for the 5 of us. The grounds were well maintained and our girls loved lounging at the pool whenever we weren't out exploring. We had tours outside the resort each day, but while on the resort we did the cave tour and ziplining. I would highly recommend both. Just make sure to use bug spray. The food was incredible. We had planned to go to San Ignacio to eat a couple nights, but the food at Calico Jack's was so good (and convenient) that we ate dinner there every night and twice for lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed trying everything on the menu. Even our youngest, who's a very picky eater, said multiple times how impressed she was with the food. The staff at Calico Jack's was absolutely perfect. They were super friendly and professional, and made our stay feel extra special. To sum it up, we all felt like Calico Jack's was one of the highlights of our 8 day trip. It felt like our own little paradise.

We had a great unforgettable experience in Calico Jack's Village. Julio picked us from the airport. He was warm and welcoming. We reached Calico Jack's Village very late. Their usual restaurant closing time is 7:00. They kept their restaurant open specially for us. Food was awesome. Manager Maria took great care of our family throughout our stay. We had arranged all our activities through them and they also had onsite activities. Julio took us to Xunantunich and Box Tunich cave. He was great, knowledgeable, explained us about the Mayan culture & lifestyle. We went to La Vega Trail with Andy. It was a very adventures hike for our family with small kids. He explained us about the forest, and the medicinal plants. We enjoyed the hike. They have Zip ling in the property. My son was scared to do zip lining. Andy and Jose took great care of my son and my son was able to do it. Office/Kitchen staff Joselyn was very nice too. They arranged Cave Tubing through guide Abel. Abel was so good. He told us so much about Mayan history and the caves. We enjoyed so much. At the end of our stay, we arranged ride through them to drop us at the Water taxi location. William dropped us and waited until we boarded the water taxi. Great team. I would definitely recommend this place. You won't get disappointed.

We had a “deluxe” room: no microwave, paid money to run A/C and we had to use a “platform” to get to the second floor or a WIRE ladder. horrible. Door locks didn’t work. 1.5 mile of dirt road - got stuck in mud. And the potholes are horrible. Locations is BAD, there are other hotels closer to San Ignacio. Food is basic and absolutely overpriced. There is no cellular service, so u don’t even know where to turn on the dirt road. Also, God forbid you arrive after 5 - we were lucky bc other residents were having dinner at 7 but usually everyone servicing the resort is GONE at 5 pm- we would have to spend the night in the car or under a bush! No security or anyone to help. We had to leave our belongings unlocked for 2 days (we had tours, and unable to reach anyone after hours to say we cannot lock the doors ). Thankfully all was ok in the end; but this was an adventure

The staff was AMAZING! Food was great! Top notch. This place is very remote, plan your activities accordingly. Barton cave was fun as was Rio on Pools and Big Rock Falls also worth a visit.

My family of four (boys ages 10 and 13) stayed here for five nights and it was incredible. From the minute we arrived we were warmly greeted and the amazing hospitality continued our entire trip. Maria set up all our excursions, which were unbelievable, and cooked the most delicious food. Rigoberto and Julio were so friendly and helpful and really took time to get to know our family and share their knowledge about their beautiful country. Our accommodations in the villa we’re comfortable and clean and we had plenty of space to relax. I loved listening to the birds in the morning and relaxing in the hammock. My boys enjoyed swimming, playing games (they have soccer balls, “good mitten” large jenga, etc) and looking for jungle creatures. If you are looking for a place off the beaten track where you will be treated like family then this is the place for you. We cherished our time at Calico Jacks.

This place really blew us away. We can't think of enough words to describe how amazing it was. The facilities are amazing, the villas are beautiful, the grounds are naturally stunning, the restaurant is amazing. You feel like you are in nature but also feel in luxury. By far the most amazing part is the staff, who are incredible. From Maria, the manager who does everything to make sure you are comfortable and happy to Rigo who was extra special to us. He genuinely wants to make you happy and feels like a friend straight away. This is what makes the place so magical. Our advice, don't just stay 1 or 2 nights. This place is best if you stay for longer. There is just so much to see, do and enjoy

This was our first time to Belize; we began our trip with a 4 day stay at Calico Jacks. Our stay was fantastic! Very comfortable, peaceful, and relaxing, with excellent food and the entire staff are simply amazing, everyone was so friendly! We spent a lot of time with Julio and he was very informative on tours, professional, and so fun to be around. :) If you like to see birds, there were plenty to see and photograph right on-site. Could not have been happier with our stay, thanks very much to the staff at Calico Jacks for a very memorable experience! :)

The resort is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the Moon Temple, and it was everything that we needed, and more than comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that we enjoyed our stay, had meals that accommodated our dietary restrictions, and made pick ups for our different tours so incredibly easy. The menu at the onsite restaurant had a large variety of options that were very reasonably priced, and everything we ordered was delicious. They grow much of their produce on property, everything was made fresh, and the staff walked around with us talking about the different plants/veggies/spices they were growing. We could not have been any happier! Loved this resort and the entire staff, and we would definitely stay there again.

We made the trip to Calico Jack's for a day of adventure and zip-lining from Teakettle. Our family of 5 did the the biggest adventure package they offered with zip-lines and can't wait to go back again soon. Our guides took incredible care of us and always felt safe and secure. It was an unforgettable day and the highlight of our Spring Break.
