Good hotel Nice experience Excellent services Clear room :)

So we thought the re-vamped Sofitel maybe a place to try. We took a Queen room for €241 per night and stayed for four nights. They took the payments upfront and also another €400 in case we used the mini bar or hotel facilities (this wasn’t explained on check in). The theme is Prussia so lots of blue. The room was clean with good facilities, however there was half a wardrobe of hanging space and two high shelves. So no where really for socks, jumpers, underwear etc. I went to reception to ask why my check in costs were high and the receptionist then told about the charge. I then also fed back on the room and the receptionist was clear (and haughty) you have taken a Queen room (read cheap) and that was the designers choice. They did quickly respond to my comments on not enough coffee pods for us both to have the same strength. In all credit to housekeeping on day three an IKEA chest of drawers did appear in the room, this was a good effort but will not solve the design fault. On check out we ensured we asked for our monies back, and said it was unusual to charge in case we bought a drink. The second argumentative receptionist told us that he travelled a lot and this was the norm in Europe. So it’s a clean hotel, the area is under refurbishment. The offices on the inner square really do look in on the rooms. Housekeeping are great. Reception is not good with feedback. Not enough storage and ensure you have the capacity on your credit card for €50 a night a person. We’ll not be back but they did try with the chest of drawers - thank you for that

They didn’t clean room or refresh towels. Air conditioning didn’t work and room was warm. Made me feel unwelcome. Spoke Mr Linde the director of rooms about getting a late check out. He didn’t honor my titanium benefits of guaranteed 4pm check out. Was rude unwelcoming and harassed me about checking out early.

5 out of 5 for Hotel Luc. Great hotel staff, knowledgeable of the city and very nice/clean rooms. This hotel is located just a few minutes walk away from the main streets of Berlin. Minute from grocery store REWE or HIIT Market to stock up on snacks and right near the Mall of Berlin. Access to nearly every train stop is just a few minutes away. I recommend this place to anyone that likes the explore cities.

Wow! Hotel Luc should be your first choice if you are looking for luxury, convenience and excellent service. Hotel Luc, located in East Berlin, far from the tourist mania in the west will satisfy your every need. What we enjoyed most was Marriott new instant communication with its hotels through its app. We were able to connect with the front desk staff instantly for directions to the hotel and also about our needs. The response was almost instant, and directions with multiple choices were thorough and easily followed. The hotel is ideally located, but the entrance is tucked away so you feel like you are entering a private space. The lobby is tastefully modern and inviting. Hotel Luc had adopted the champagne welcome, sit down, relax registration model which we find very needed after a long day of travel. Veronica, one of the hotel’s guest services representatives, was extraordinary. So welcoming, so knowledgeable about our needs, and so helpful with immediate and accurate answers to our questions. She would become our personal concierge throughout our stay. While the rooms are European small they are very comfortable. Excellent bedding, strong water pressure in the shower, and room enough to move around comfortably. We requested a high floor and were delighted that request was honored with an breathtaking view of the city. And the windows open! That’s a refreshing welcome to be able to get fresh air into a room. Elevators arrived quickly with few guests using then at one time. Hotel Luc is within walking distance of Museum Island and most East Berlin attractions. The area is safe, clean and stunning. We returned to Berlin to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. In 1974 we crossed over into East Berlin as one of our experiences on our 3 month back packing honeymoon. East Berlin was still destroyed, patrolled with frightening armed soldiers, and people desperate for American dollars and our jeans. There was little food. So to return to see East Berlin restored as a thriving, unified Berlin was overwhelming. Berlin is a BIG BUILDING city, and you are struck by its massiveness. Wide boulevards make it easy to negotiate even when it is crowded, and the Hotel Luc is waiting for you to return to peace and quiet after a long day of touring. If you are lucky to get a street facing room you will have a view of the stunning church across the street that houses the Museum of the Huguenots. But don’t be concerned about a street view room. The windows make the room soundproof. No street traffic to be heard when they are closed. The bar and restaurant are tastefully decorated with an excellent drinks and all day menu. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance, and public transportation is within walking distance as well. Public transportation is quick and easy to use, and Veronica and the entire staff were ready to assist with directions and tricks to get from A to B quickly. In fact their knowledge of the rail

10/10. Cleaning was spotless and reception staff were very friendly. Rooms are big enough even for a queen bed. Strongly recommend! Took some bikes and we had a great overview of the city during the weekend that we were there. Marriot app didn’t work very well with the staff but it’s ok, every time that we ask something for reception, they brought us.

Great experience, was upgraded to a Suite with a viee of Gerdarmenmarkt. Although there is construction, it did not affect me much. Weather was great and hot, unfortunately, hotels in Germany are normally terrible at dealing with high Soring temperatures and the room was just too hot one morning when I had to work from the room. Overall a great stay

Very good service. Our original room had a defective a/c unit so the front desk moved us to a much larger room with a balcony, an upgrade at no cost to us. They helped us move from the old to the new room that was at least 2x the size. The restaurant was very good but pretty expensive, sort of normal for Berlin.
